T1 Suing Fan Who Allegedly Stalked Faker & Snuck Into His Locker Room
During their stay in China for Worlds 2025, a T1 fan snuck into the locker room and took photos of Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok and other players. T1 has publicly acknowledged the breach of privacy and are taking legal action after the pictures were posted online.
T1 has one of the most passionate fandoms not just in League of Legends, but in esports as a whole. This can be both a blessing and a curse, as their fame, fortune, and success also brings with it some unwanted attention.
However, there are rare cases where things escalate to the point where T1 has to intervene, and fans sneaking into the locker room to take pictures of the players is most certainly crossing a line.
Fans posted voyeuristic photos of the players on social media, following them into private spaces with the intention of taking photos of them. Now, T1’s pursuing legal action to ensure the safety of their players.

T1 Takes Legal Action Against Fans Stalking Players
T1’s official statement acknowledging the matter is more difficult to find than you’d expect. It’s only on Weibo and in Mandarin, with them opting not to acknowledge the situation on any other platforms.
Here’s an excerpt from their lengthy statement on the matter:
“Recently, some unidentified individuals have been lurking in the private spaces of players’ hotels, following and secretly photographing players, and posting the photos on social media platforms. This has seriously disrupted the players’ normal lives and training schedules, and constitutes a serious infringement of their privacy rights, right to peace and quiet, and portrait rights.
“Unauthorized acquisition or disclosure of players’ personal information in any form without their consent is a serious violation of the law.”

There are rumors circulating that these images depict the players unclothed, but those are just rumors at this time. They originate from a viral Threads post discussing the situation and claiming that images of Faker without clothes were circulating, but there’s no actual proof that they were anything explicit.
That said, if T1’s going as far as suing the people who were posting images, it was clearly more than just snapping a photo of them in a hotel hallway.
“We have already collected evidence and consulted with law firms to prepare legal proceedings to protect their personal rights. We reserve all rights to pursue legal action,” their statement reads, making it clear that legal action is already being taken and that more than one person may be affected.
Fortunately, all staff and players are safe. T1 will be facing KT Rolster in the Worlds 2025 Grand Finals to see whether or not they can bag their third world title in a row.
This isn’t the only big controversy to come out of Worlds 2025, either, with BLG’s team being allegedly spotted in an illegal gambling den with escorts.
