Twitch Streamer Forsen Joins Pro League of Legends Team Despite Being Hardstuck Plat
It’s been announced that Hans “Forsen” Fors (yes, Twitch streamer Forsen) will be joining a tier 2 League of Legends pro team in Europe. If he can qualify, that is.
Streamer dream teams are nothing new in League of Legends. Caedrel’s team Los Ratones actually worked out, breaking viewership records for the NLC and landing him a temporary LEC spot in 2026. There’s a chance that content creator teams are a huge part of pro LoL’s future.
And, though there are other players on the team who have big names as either streamers or former pros, Forsen is the odd man out as both the jungler and least experienced player on the team.
What’s more, the fact that Forsen’s rank is so low may actually keep them from playing. According to NLC rules, players must be ranked at least Diamond to participate in tournament matches. There’s a chance this streamer team is doomed from the start.
Forsen’s Pro LoL Career Over Before it Starts?
Forsen is a true legacy streamer. He’s been streaming for over a decade at this point and typically broadcasts a variety of different content. And, while he’s not bad at League of Legends, he’s not at the level a pro typically would be.
The team he joined, 4 Swines & a Bum, has put him in the hot seat if they want to field a full team. Here’s their roster:
Considering Eugene “Pobelter” Park was a strong NA mid laner for years and Jakob “Jackspektra” Kepple has some experience as a pro player, this team isn’t completely doomed. But putting Forsen in jungle, arguably the most influential role on the map, was certainly a choice.
Currently, he’s stuck all the way down in Platinum 3 and just had a really rough ranked session. And, with Stage 1 of the NLC starting on January 8, he doesn’t have long to climb. He’ll have to fight his way all the way up to Diamond 3 just to barely scrape by before the deadline. Forsen pretty much has to win every game he plays in the next few days if he wants to earn the almost 800 LP he’ll need to qualify.
This will be an even greater challenge, considering he almost exclusively plays Briar, a feast-or-famine pubstomper who can very easily get herself killed due to the fact that she self-taunts enemies in order to deal damage.
It remains to be seen if the NLC will change the rules and allow Forsen to compete considering how much viewership this team playing could bring to the league. As it stands, it’s very unlikely Forsen will be allowed to play.
