Worlds 2025 Music Video Delayed as LTA Cut Due to Bwipo’s Sexist Comments
League of Legends (LoL) fans across the globe are on the edge of their collective seats, waiting for the Worlds 2025 anthem, but the music video has been delayed due to issues arising around sexist comments made by Gabriël “Bwipo” Rau.
In September 2025, the FlyQuest toplaner made sexist remarks on a live Twitch stream, and the community was up in arms.
“When a woman is on the wrong part of the month and playing competitively, there is a time of the month where you should not be f**king playing competitive games as a woman, in my opinion,” said Bwipo, sparking outrage.
While Bwipo will compete in LoL Worlds 2025 with FlyQuest, he was suspended for one LTA match following the incident, his playoff winnings were donated to a good cause, and he apologized.
Recently, Bwipo made sexist comments that are antithetical to FlyQuest’s core values. Every day, we try to make the gaming space better and that includes helping anyone with a passion for competition reach the highest possible levels of play.

Now, there are additional, unforeseen consequences of Bwipo’s sexist remarks, with the entire LTA region losing out as a result.
LTA Region Won’t Appear In Worlds 2025 Anthem
The LTA is a combination of the past LCS (North America), CBLOL (Brazil), and LLA (Latin America) regions, and will not appear in the Worlds 2025 anthem. Riot Games explained that Bwipo was the representative for the Americas in the music video, thus causing this problem.
“The Worlds Music Video will now launch on October 13, a few days later than originally planned,” they stated. “Bwipo was featured in the original cut, but given his recent comments, we decided it wouldn’t be right to showcase him in a piece that represents LoL Esports, pro players, and fans. Editing him out required significant changes during the final stages of production, and because he was the player representing the Americas, that region will not appear in this year’s video as originally intended.”

They concluded that “this was not part of any sanction or competitive ruling, but a decision about how we represent our sport and community on a global stage.”
