The Swede explained how, on the whole, “the experience has been amazing” and “I’ve appreciated every day I’ve been here.”
He highlighted playing against fellow junglers Xun and Peanut, detailing how despite them being “obviously better… it’s a really nice challenge for me to play against them,” though still clarifying that “I don’t see them as unbeatable.”
“Getting to play against the best teams and the best junglers in the world. I think I learned a lot from that, so I’m really happy.”
When asked by Esports.net for his thoughts on his own personal performance, Yike revealed that he found his play “pretty decent,” feeling that he “wasn’t getting gapped every game.”
“I think I played my game and I think I played good. I wouldn’t say I played bad, I wouldn’t say I played amazing, I just think I played good. I feel like I can match the best junglers in the world, and that’s good for me.”
Yike’s own performance wasn’t his only source of satisfaction, detailing how he is “really proud of how we evolved, how we learned,” adding “I think we improved a lot as a team.” He looks to use these learnings later this season as he finished by saying he’s “really excited to hopefully go to Worlds and try to do even better.”
G2 now need to regroup for a quick turnaround ahead of the start of LEC Summer on June 16. MSI continues following G2’s and Cloud9’s departure with an all-Eastern lineup.
