Before we dive into that, be sure to check out the BGMI esports roadmap for the first half of 2025. The iconic IPs, BGMI India Series (BGIS) and the Pro Series (BMPS) are set to return. Furthermore, the BGIS is set to feature a record prize pool as it will have a crowdfunding element as well.

What is the BGMI esports points table system in 2025?

The BGIS 2025 is currently underway and we take a look at the points system that is being used. Below is the new BGMI esports points table that is being utilized. This system has been in use since 2024 and is in line with international PUBG Mobile esports tournaments.

  • 1st place – 10 points
  • 2nd place – 6 points
  • 3rd place – 5 points
  • 4th place – 4 points
  • 5th place – 3 points
  • 6th place – 2 points
  • 7th and 8th place – 1 point
  • 9th to 16th place – 0 points
  • Per kill: 1 point

The team will be rewarded with one finish point for every finish/kill in the match. At the end of a match, the team with the highest sum of finish points and placement points will be known as the winner. With lesser placement points since the previous table, this system gives teams more incentive to be aggressive. Kills have become very crucial to victory. The points table also means a better viewing experience for fans with much more action.

One thing that differentiates this points system is the new Smash Rule which has been introduced in the PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) SEA Spring 2025. In this, the team which gets the first WWCD after reaching a certain number of points is crowned the winner. It remains to be seen if BGMI esports also brings this rule in 2025.

This points table will also be followed in most third-party and tier two or three tournaments. Thus, it’s important to have the best device, likely one that supports BGMI in 90 FPS, to aim and hunt down your enemies.
