Full List Of New Brawl Stars Balance Changes (May 20, 2025)
Supercell went and dropped another balance patch for Brawl Stars right in the thick of the Katana Kingdom event. This one’s called Sushi Break, and it brings a bunch of tweaks. They’re aiming to iron out the Wasabi Powers mess that’s been shaking up matches too much. Here’s what’s different now in the latest Brawl Stars balance changes.

Brawl Stars Balance Changes – May 20, 2025
Brawler Nerfs
- Hank – His damage got slashed by 70%. He won’t be tearing through teams like before.
- Ash – Now he charges his Super 20% slower, so it takes longer to get that big move.
- Amber – Projectile spread is wider. It means her shots don’t land as clean.
- Byron – Also, more spread on his shots, which makes hitting targets at range harder.
- Angelo – Same story here – wider spread, less reliable long-range attacks.
Brawler Buffs
- Stu – Super upgrade: fires two projectiles rather than one. That’s a nice punch.
- Rosa – Instead of growing one bush, she now makes four. More cover for her team.
- Colette – Damage per shot doubled to 200 (up from 100). Projectile count increased from 4 to 6
- Shelly – Bullet count bumped from 30 to 35. Means more pellets on target.
- Gene – Super charge bonus got a 15% increase, so he charges Ult faster.
- Colt – Reload speed given a small boost. Feels slightly snappier.
- Brock – His basic attack now deals more damage and covers a wider area.
- Lily – Super now recharges over time automatically, not just by dealing damage. This also helps while using the Best Build for Lily.
- Belle – A little faster reload, just enough to notice.
Bug Fixes and Adjustments
Fixed a glitch where only four Sprays appear instead of five. Ninja Ash’s attack visuals were broken; now they display correctly.
After the Sushi Break maintenance, everyone got a free Sushi item in the shop, which fills up the Sushi Meter for event rewards. The Brawl Stars balance changes introduced in the Sushi Break update aim to bring fairness back to the ongoing Katana Kingdom event, which continues into June. With strong Brawlers getting nerfed and others receiving thoughtful buffs, the patch is a step toward better game stability. With more content on the way, including the arrival of new Brawler Kaze, players have plenty to experience in the coming days.
