All you need to know about Jae-Yong in Brawl Stars
Dual Combat Modes: Work & Party
Jae-Yong’s gameplay centers around his ability to switch between Work Mode and Party Mode, offering different effects on his basic attack depending on the form he’s in. While it hasn’t been confirmed exactly how he swaps modes (possibly a Gadget or passive ability), both styles open up different strategies.
Work Mode
In Work Mode, Jae-Yong fires a piercing shot that damages enemies and heals teammates it passes through. Think of it as a supportive sharpshot — ideal for holding lanes and sustaining your allies in a push.
Party Mode
Switch to Party Mode, and the same projectile gets a flashy remix. It now deals reduced damage, but anyone it touches — including Jae-Yong — gets a movement speed buff. Perfect for fast rotations or chasing down low-health targets with your team.
Jae-Yong is not the only exciting addition in Brawl Stars this time. Here’s all the game altering changes revealed in the latest Brawl Stars April Brawl Talk.
Star Powers, Gadgets & Utility for Jae-Yong
Jae-Yong’s kit includes two Gadgets and two Star Powers, each building on his dual-role theme:
Star Powers
- Speed Boost: In Party Mode, he gains increased movement speed himself.
- Piercing Power: Hitting multiple enemies with a single projectile causes the next enemy struck to take extra damage.
Gadgets
- Power Surge: Deals area damage and temporarily boosts his main attack’s damage output.
- Slow Trail: Slows nearby enemies and adds a slowing trail effect to his next attack — similar to Spike’s gadget or Buster’s cable.
Whether you want to slow, support, or spike damage, Jae-Yong offers options for creative team plays. His mode-shifting potential could make him one of the most flexible supports in the game.
Jae-Yong’s Skin
Brawl Stars also rolled out a suite of 29‑Gem budget skins in April, and Jammin’ Jae‑Yong is one of the highlights. Priced at 29 Gems, this lively recolor outfits Jae-Yong in a neon karaoke‑star ensemble, complete with animated musical‑note effects and glowing accents.
