The ranked mode is going to get a major transformation with the current set of battle cards being retired forever. However, players can keep their highest achieved battle card. This season is going to be the final chance to earn a higher ranked battle card or upgrade an existing one before the reset.

Leaks suggest a new rank potentially named “Emerald” will be introduced which is probably going to be positioned above Master. While details remain unconfirmed, this addition could serve as an elite tier for top ranked players which can set the stage for future esports integration, aligning with the ambitions of the Brawl Stars Championship 2025 which boasts 3 in-person events and a $2 million prize pool.
Brawl Stars Shorter season & Competitive adjustments
This ranked season will only be 17 days long that is significantly shorter than usual. The rededication in duration hints at potential changes in progression mechanics, though it remains unclear that climbing through ranks will become easier or more challenging.

Speculation suggests that ranked boosts may extend beyond legendary. While no major matchmaking adjustments have been announced, gameplay mechanics could evolve especially at higher ranks. There is also a possibility that modifiers will be introduced for lower ranks but removed for higher tiered matches.
Evolution of Ranked mode
The ‘ranked mode’ which replaced ‘power league’ in 2024 still remains a competitive experience that require brawlers to be at power level 9 or higher. It takes 1000 trophies to unlock it and resets with each Brawl pass season. Ranked does not affect trophies like trophy road matches but grants a huge amount of XP.
The upcoming update is expected refine ranked play with new mechanics, potential matchmaking shifts, and high stakes ranked system. However, keeping in mind the terrible reception of the Mega pig event caused by unsatisfying rewards, player feedback will play a pivotal role determining the future of ranked play in Brawl Stars.
