There are some caveats though. Playing offline means you won’t be able to properly save until you’re back online. But, in a pinch, you can still play Candy Crush even when you’re underground or otherwise offline.

How It Works

If you’ve already got the game open and lose connection, you’ll still be able to play any levels that you’ve previously played. Progress is device based as well as account based. So any progress you make will be saved on your device, but it won’t sync to your account until you’re back online.

Reopening the app will always try and go from the account first, so you’ll want to make sure you can back up once you’re connected again.

Also keep in mind that features requiring an internet connection, like getting free lives, leaderboards, and events, won’t be accessible until you reconnect.

Tips for Playing Offline

1. Unlock Levels Beforehand: Make sure to unlock new levels while you’re still online so you have plenty to play through when offline. Yes, it sucks not being able to make crazy progress, but you wouldn’t want to risk losing it if syncing failed.
2. Save Boosters: Boosters you’ve collected can still be used offline, so stock up when you have a connection.
3. Sync Progress: Once you’re back online, open the game to sync your progress and keep everything updated.

So, can you play Candy Crush offline? Absolutely! You won’t be able to make any headway on your level progress tho, but being able to repeat is a nice feature.
