
Clash of Clans Feb. 2025 Update: New Defenses, Troop Launcher, & More
Supercell’s latest Clash of Clans update revealed new defensive structure, gameplay adjustments and quality of life improvements. The main highlights of the update are the Multi Gear Tower and the Troop Launcher, besides major changes to resource management and troop upgrades.

Clash of Clans Multi Gear Tower & Troop Launcher take the center stage
Players can now build the Multi Gear Tower by merging a Geared up Archer Tower with a Geared Up Cannon, at Town Hall 17. This powerful defense has two modes: Long Range for distant enemies and Fast Attack for rapid fire by targeting both ground and air units with precision.
Meanwhile, Town Hall 16 has introduced the Troop Launcher, which is a stationary siege machine that hurls troop loaded barrels to allies mid battle. Though its immobile, the ability to deploy multiple troops including Clan Castle reinforcements adds a new layer of battlefield tactics.
New Additions, Balance Changes & Quality of life tweaks
The Alchemist joins the Helper Hut at Town Hall 11 and offers daily resource conversions. Players can unlock her for 100 gems also, players can upgrade her to enhance her efficiency. The Minion Prince also gets new gear named “Metal Pants” which is a protective barrier that also absorbs damage during battles.

Wall upgrades are now more efficient by allowing players to select and upgrade multiple walls of the same level simultaneously. Hard Mode receives tougher adjustments with +20% HP and DPS for defending heroes while attacking heroes in the face of a -10% reduction in both stats.
The update also introduces a Starter Pass for new players by providing extra rewards from Town Hall 2 to 7 to aid early progression. Additionally, resource storage capacities have been increased for Town Hall 14+ and gem prices for resource related items have been reduced to improve accessibility.
New troop and defense levels include Archer(Lv13), P.E.K.K.A.(Lv12), X-Bow(Lv12) and more. Balance changes tweak various mechanics while extensive bug fixes address issues with matchmaking, hero abilities and in-game visuals.
