Clash Royale Balances Rune Giant & PEKKA Evolution; Here’s What Changed
Supercell recently released a huge balance update in Clash Royale on January 30, changing the two most favorite cards: Rune Giant & PEKKA Evolution. These changes were made to improve gameplay and for smoother interactions between cards.

Rune Giant Adjustments in Clash Royale
The Rune Giant’s enchantment mechanic has received a major update. The enchantment now works differently when interacting with specific cards, such as Hunter, Ram Rider, Goblin Machine, Firecracker, Goblin Giant, and their evolved counterparts.
Previously, the enchantment would grant a damage bonus that could overpower certain troops, but now the bonus is divided across projectiles. This change prevents powerful attacks from cards such as Firecracker and Hunter from wiping out troops in one shot.
Also, troops attached to the Rune Giant, for example, the Ram Rider’s Rider or Goblin Giant’s Spear Goblins will no longer benefit from the damage boost. These changes were implemented to reduce imbalance and improve strategic gameplay.

PEKKA Evolution Fixes
The card PEKKA Evolution, which has been adjusted a few times since its release, also received a critical fix in this update. The healing per death values of PEKKA Evolution now match the original values set in previous balance announcements.
The healing mechanics at Level 11 are now as follows: small troops (<990 HP) heal 142 (50% less), medium troops (991- 1989 HP) remain unchanged at 282, and large troops (>1990 HP) heal 565 (100% more). This fix ensures that the healing mechanic aligns with its intended design, enhancing the card’s effectiveness in different scenarios.
Nonetheless, the card is still strong. But, if you want to know what the best evolution is, check out our Clash Royale Evolution Tier List.

So, these were the latest Rune Giant and PEKKA Evolution balance changes in Clash Royale. PEKKA Evolution is still quite a strong Epic card, standing at 7 Elixir with a deployment cycle of 1.
If it kills an enemy, a healing butterfly is sent out that heals a percentage of hitpoints dependent on the HP of the target. It can even heal more than max hitpoints in certain cases, making the card a threat to be reckoned with once deployed strategically.
