One of the standout features of Krai is its strong connection to Call of Duty’s rich history. Drawing heavy inspiration from the Ural Mountains—an unreleased Battle Royale map initially developed for Black Ops Cold War, Krai blends familiar elements with fresh design. Out of the five key points of interest (POIs) on Krai, three are directly inspired by this unreleased Cold War content.
KRAI Map Release Date
Activision has officially revealed that the new Battle Royale map is set to launch in COD Mobile on November 11, 2024, alongside Season 10. While details about the new season are still limited, more information will be shared as it becomes available.
Key Points of Interest (POIs)
The major POIs on Krai offer a variety of settings, each presenting different challenges and opportunities for players:
- Knight Station: A central location with towering structures, likely to be a hot zone for contested battles and sniper engagements.
- Principia Sanatorium: It is a small, abandoned medical center that will be a small area that is well suited to stealth and combat at close range.
- Tranquility Parish: This POI is a church with a parking zone in its surroundings; therefore, it can be a more peaceful and strategic point for those who want to begin the fight slowly.
- Safari Land Animal Play Park: An attractive themed park-like area with both outdoor and indoor areas ideal for different modes of combat.
- Thistledown Village Industrial Park: A Industrial, factory, and warehouse area that is designed for players, who prefer close distances and physical contact on the battlefield.

At the heart of the map lies a unique Call of Duty: Mobile original location: “Knight Station.” This train station links different areas of the map via a moving cable car. Players will also have multiple more transportation options such as helicopters and vehicles, to travel through the map.
More about Krai Map
Set in Russia, “Krai” means “region” or “territory.” The buildings are tall, and interiors are complex, specially designed to support intense fast paced combat.
Early expectations suggested that Krai would be moderately sized, but the map is now anticipated to be larger than the Alcatraz map but smaller than Isolated and Blackout. In addition to five major POIs, numerous small places are located across the map, providing brilliant conditions for traversing and gunfights.
From the aesthetic point of view, Krai is less colorful than other maps: its color shading is not so contrasting as in Isolated and Blackout. The gray tones give Krai that sort of realistic look, much like Verdansk from Warzone Mobile. Even so, COD Mobile and Warzone Mobile are worlds apart across numerous aspects.

Fifth Anniversary and What to Expect
Krai is part of the fifth-anniversary celebration for Call of Duty: Mobile, which means not only a new BR map but also most likely new weapons, skins, and in-game events in celebration of the update.
One of the most anticipated additions is the rumored introduction of a new submachine gun, the Uzi. Additionally, players will be treated to a new mini-campaign like last year’s anniversary update. Limited-time special skins, including the Dusk skin, are being released to mark the anniversary in style. Lastly, the Alcatraz map will feature an easter egg hunt, offering players fragments of information about the new “Krai” map.
There’s a lot to look forward to in this anniversary update. We will keep updating our readers with latest information as the season draws closer.
