Earning tier stars is essential to progress in Mech Arena as it’s your key to unlocking new Mechs and weapons in the game. Unfortunately, it’s not something you can acquire by participating in events or by completing challenges. As a result, many players have a hard time earning this important currency in the game. Therefore, here’s a quick and easy guide to obtaining tier stars in Mech Arena.

How to earn tier stars in Mech Arena?

The primary way to earn tier stars in Mech Arena is by unlocking and upgrading new Mechs and weapons in the game. When you level up, the game rewards you with a tier star. However, when you unlock a new one, you gain a number of Tier Stars equal to that Mech or Weapon’s Rank at the time of acquisition.

For example, in Tier 1, you have Rank 1 Paragon and Rank 1 Autocannon 4, i.e., two Tier Stars. If you buy a Rank 2 Plasma Cannon, you’ll receive two more Tier Stars. You’ll receive the fifth Tier Star and unlock Tier 2 after upgrading any available piece of equipment by 1 Rank.

You’ll need more Tier Stars to unlock the next one as you progress through tier. Only Stars from the previous Tier will count towards unlocking the next. For example, Tier 2 Stars won’t help you unlock Tier 4 as you can only use Tier 3 Stars. You can still get its Mechs and Weapons through Shop Offers or Events, but the rest of the Tier’s content will remain inaccessible, even if you have some items from it while a Tier is locked.

What are tier stars used for in Mech Arena?

You can spend tier stars in the game’s Market section. It looks like a battle pass where you can get access to all Mechs and Weapons. Click the “Gear Hub” button in your Hangar to go to the Market.

The Market is split into 8 Tiers that must be unlocked sequentially. Each Tier contains a variety of Mechs and Weapons that you can acquire using Credits, A-Coins and in-app purchases. You start in Tier 1. You must collect a certain number of Tier Stars in the current Tier to unlock the next Tier. For example, you will need Tier 2 Stars to unlock Tier 3.
