If you’re just starting out and wanting to know how to play subway surfers, its pretty simple to get running!

Getting Started

The first step is to get the game downloaded from the App Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android).
When starting out, Jake is your first character, but after a few runs you can unlock more Subway Surfers characters.

Swipe Controls:
- Swipe Left/Right: Move between three tracks.
- Swipe Up: Jump over obstacles.
- Swipe Down: Roll under barriers.
The main thing you want to do is collect coins during your run. Knowing how to get 100000 coins in Subway Surfers is always a good thing, as you can use these to upgrade power-ups, and buy more characters.
Don’t crash! The game keeps going until you hit an obstacle and get caught. Stay running as long as you can.

Jetpack / Pogo Stick: Zoom into the sky so you can collect the coins that are up there.
Super Sneakers: Jump higher and run faster.
Coin Magnet: Attracts all nearby coins.
2x Multiplier: Doubles your score for a limited time.
Super Mysterizer: Randomly transforms into an item, only on Mystery Monday events.

To get some extra coins, do your daily challenges.
For more points in your runs, there are individual missions that you can carry out to boost your score.

Upgrade your power-ups to extend their duration and boost your performance. The Coin Magnet is a great way to focus on upgrading while getting coins to buy more upgrades.
Use Hoverboards to give you a 30-second shield against crashes. A well timed shield can help you stay running and getting more coins.
Keep your eyes on the path, and stay alert and focused on the road. Instead of being greedy for coins, staying running gives you more opportunity.
