The MPL Philippines’ regular season is a double-round robin. Each match within this phase is a best-of-3 series. On day one of MPL Philippines Season 15, matches were held between Aurora Gaming and Twisted Minds PH and TNC Pro Team and ONIC Philippines. Both games ended with a series score of 2-0.
Day two of the tournament saw three matches take place. Continuing the trend of clean sweeps, Team Falcons PH lost to Team Liquid PH 2-0. The shocking result from this event was when Aurora Gaming defeated the reigning world champions, ONIC Philippines. This series ended with a scoreline of 2-1. The surprising part of this series was that the games that ONIC Philippines won were under 13 minutes. Both games that Aurora Gaming were over 16 minutes.
On Day 3 of MPL Season 15, Team Falcons PH won its first tournament match against Omega Esports. On the other hand, Team Liquid PH continued its dominance by defeating Twisted Minds PH 2-0.
Team Liquid PH is currently at the top of the table with 2 points, with Aurora Gaming in second place. The world champions in ONIC Philippines will need to regain their mojo, as they are losing matches that last longer. The hero who played the most in the tournament was Suyou, and the hero who was banned the most was Fanny. She hasn’t played a single game, as she has a 100% banned rate in the tournament.
