The latest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Patch 1.9.08 Update has brought a new Battlefield Draft event and major hero reworks. The community-driven Battlefield effects bring a twist to ranked matches, though casual players might find the constant changes a bit confusing.
Argus’s revamped abilities could make him a top pick again, thanks to buffs that increase his damage output and survivability. Hero Adjustments
Lukas
Lukas is a new Fighter role hero equipped with a powerful skillset designed for strong combos to burst down enemies on the battlefield. Mastery of each ability, especially prioritizing the Beast form, is essential for excelling in matches.
- Skill 1
– Base Damage: 300-550 +100% Total Physical Attack >> 300-600 +120% Total Physical Attack
– Spin Damage: 100-200 +80% Total Physical Attack >> 100-200 +50% Total Physical Attack - Skill 2
– CD Reduction: 2-4.5s >> 2.5-4s

Argus
The experimental adjustments for Argus return with further optimizations and issues addressed.
- Skill 2
– Removed: Attacking Cursed targets grants 200% Malice Energy.
– New Effect: Hitting an enemy grants 100 Malice Energy (excess Malice Energy will be kept for the next Basic Attack). - Skill 3
– Transformation Duration: 5s >> 4s
– Death Immunity Duration: 3s >> 4s
– Movement Speed Bonus: 80% >> 40%
– Movement Speed Bonus Duration: 2s >> 1s
– Cooldown: 46-38s >> 55-45s
– New Effect: If Death Immunity is not triggered during transformation, the cooldown is reduced by 50% when the skill ends.

Cyclops
Cyclops’ Ultimate Sphere has been adjusted to improve its effectiveness.
- Ultimate
– Sphere Initial Speed: 1 >> 7; no longer accelerates with flying time
– Cooldown: 43s at all levels >> 26-18s
– Damage: 550-880 +220% Total Magic Power >> 500 +120% Total Magic Power
– Mana Cost: 160-200 >> 60-100
– Immobilizing Time: 1-2s (increases with travel distance) >> 0.75-1.5s
Joy
Adjustments to Joy aim to enhance her burst capabilities and align her more with Assassin roles.
- Skill 2
– Skill Interval: 1s >> 0.8s
Nolan
Following the removal of control immunity from Nolan’s Ultimate, adjustments aim to improve his sustained combat ability while slightly reducing his mobility.

– Cooldown: 2-1s >> 2.5-1.5s
Terizla
Upcoming changes to Terizla will impact his early and mid-game performance, with adjustments to balance his power and skill usage.

Roger
Roger’s performance will be adjusted to balance his survival, damage output, and mobility.

Popol and Kupa
Strength adjustments aim to reduce their early and mid-game dominance and balance skill usage.

Suyou
The aim is to increase burst damage and reduce long-range poking capabilities.

– Damage by Hold-casting: Same as Tap-casting, no longer increases withhold duration

- Dominance Ice: Attributes adjusted to align with Mana adjustments: +55 Physical Defense +250 Max HP +5% CD Reduction
- Black Ice Shield: Attributes adjusted to align with Mana adjustments: +18 Physical Defense +150 Max HP +5% CD Reduction
- Endless Battle: Attributes adjusted to align with Mana adjustments: Removed 5 Mana Regen. Price adjusted to 2330 >> 2180
- Clock of Destiny: Added 10% CD Reduction. Mana adjusted from 800 >> 400
- Wishing Lantern: Magic Power increased to 75. Added 400 Mana. Price adjusted to 1950 >> 2030
- Thunder Belt: Unique Passive damage adjusted: 50+100% Total Physical Defense+100% Total Magic Defense >> 50+100% Extra Physical Defense+100% Extra Magic Defense
- Twilight Armor: Damage Absorption Trigger Condition increased to 500
Battlefield Effect Balance Adjustments

- Fortified: Adjusted Gold provided by each turret’s Energy Shield to 120 Gold. Reduced Energy Shield damage absorption to balance match duration.
- Super Entourage: Added exclusive skills to special minions: Lava Golems grant 10 Hybrid Defense, Fire Beetles grant 10% Attack Speed, and Horned Lizards grant 15 Adaptive Attack.
- Eternal Strength: Weakened boosts provided by each stack of Power of Turtle to balance its effect.
- Everlasting Turtle: Reduced EXP and Gold rewards from the Turtle to balance its impact in mid and late game.
- Healing Turret: Increased effectiveness in the early game and reduced differences in healing based on base HP.
MLBB Patch 1.9.08 Update: Events
Battlefield Draft
Available until Aug. 20, this mode allows players to vote on which battlefield effects will be applied. The event consists of four phases: Voting Stage, Announcement Stage, Play Stage, and a non-voting phase where the designated effects are applied. Players can vote for their preferred effects using Gameplay Votes earned through daily tasks.
