PUBG Mobile recently posted something cryptic on their social media, and it got the community talking right away. The post, although a bit unclear, seems to be pointing toward some exciting changes in the upcoming PUBG Mobile 3.9 beta update. One of the biggest clues? A possible crossover with the famous Transformers franchise.

The most noticeable part of the teaser was clearly related to Transformers. The image shared by the official has the logos of ‘Autobots’ and Decepticons’, the two main rival factions from the Transformers series drawn out.
Notably, they were also put under the header ‘Themed Gameplay’, thereby hinting that it’s probably going to be a full-scale collab and not just cosmetic additions. However, based on the pattern with past collabs, we could also see the likes of Optimus Prime, Bumble Bee, and Megatron as purchasable skins too.
Not just about skins, though. Based on previous collaboration events, it’s also possible this update will bring a limited-time Transformers-themed gameplay mode. These modes often bring in new gameplay items, and special objectives. Maybe this time, the game lets players transform into robot forms or use Transformer-inspired gadgets.
PUBG Mobile has done similar things before, crossovers with famous movies, shows, and games, so another IP integration wouldn’t be too surprising. If this actually happens, there could be exclusive robot-themed cosmetics, and maybe even some game mechanics based around transformations or energy weapons. We did get to see a large-scale PUBG Mobile x Attack on Titan collab in the previous update.
But, of course, nothing is certain yet.

In the teaser drawing, two characters can be seen riding what looks like a different two-wheeled vehicle. According to early leaks from the community, this could be a brand-new dirt bike being added to the vehicle roster. A more agile or quicker motorcycle might help players travel maps with more speed and style.

Another key part of the image shows a character seemingly hovering in the air – maybe flying or gliding using some kind of hoverboard. This could be a brand-new vehicle being introduced in the update. If true, players might get the ability to fly or float around the map in short bursts.
Hoverboards could make traveling through terrain smoother or open up new combat possibilities from above. It also could change how players engage or escape fights, depending on how common they are or which game modes they’re available in.
Since the 3.9 update will be released around summer time, the game may also receive seasonal visuals. Some parts of the post hinted at water slides and beach-themed zones. These might be added to classic maps like Erangel or Livik as special temporary locations.
Although there has been no official confirmation regarding the release date of the PUBG Mobile 3.9 update, past release patterns offer a good clue. The previous 3.8 version was launched on May 8, which suggests that the 3.9 update could arrive around mid-July if the developers stick to their regular update schedule. Players can likely expect more concrete announcements as the expected launch window approaches.
As anticipation builds for the official launch of 3.9, it’s a good time to optimize your gameplay. Tweaking your recoil sensitivity can make a big difference as new modes roll out.
