ESL Faceit Group (EFG) has announced a new addition to the roster of games in the Snapdragon Pro Series (SPS) and it’s none other than EA FC Mobile. The mobile sports game will currently only be available in the SPS in Latin America, leading to an on-ground finale.

“We are delighted that EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile will be part of the LATAM Snapdragon Mobile Challenge 2024,” said Sam Turkbas, EA’s Senior Director & Commissioner of Football Esports. “FC Mobile allows players around the globe to realize their football dreams on the virtual pitch. We are excited to see the best players in LATAM have the opportunity to qualify and compete in person at the finals in Brazil.”

Registrations are open for the SPS – EA FC Mobile competition

Players can head over to the Faceit website to register for the competition as long as they fulfill the following criteria:

• Alteast 16-years-old.
• A resident of Latin America
• Have a minimum rank of legendary in EA FC Mobile’s head-to-head game mode

The open qualifiers will happen in the first half of November leading to the finals on Nov. 10 and 17. From here, the top 12 players will make it to the SPS – EA FC Mobile live event in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Dec. 14 and 15.

It’s not surprising to see ESL add EA FC Mobile to the roster of games in the SPS. In a recent interview with Esports.net, the company’s VP of game ecosystems, Sam Braithwaite, said that they had their sights set on building new offerings for players. He added that the decision to add new titles also depends on the appetites of different regions, which could be the reason why this tournament is only for Latin America.

It remains to be seen if it will be expanded to other regions in 2025.

Additionally, EFG highlighted the SPS’s success throughout 2024, showcasing how the tournament has become a marquee event in mobile esports. The Snapdragon Pro Series – Season 5 has generated 235 million views. Furthermore, over 2.8 million players have participated in the open competitions globally.
