
Nintendo Direct: All Major announcements made in the latest livestream
The latest Nintendo Direct just aired. The livestream held information about all the upcoming games, events and updates. Fans tuned in to see what the company might be doing with their favorite game franchises. Mario, Pokémon and Zelda all had a little bit of attention as well as other major franchises.
There were several key announcements during a 40 minute stream. Gamers are understandably excited. This is everything that was announced.
Nintendo Direct: What the gaming titan announced for its future lineup
Firstly, Nintendo announced that Fire Emblem is getting another game. Fire Emblem Engage will be the 17th game in the core lineup for the franchise. It will be available in January. Fans of the franchise will love that classic characters are being brought back for this release. A deluxe edition will also be released.
Next, Nintendo announced Octopath Traveler II. The turn-based RPG will hit shelves in February. Eight different characters will be playable in this release. After, Nintendo focused heavily on Pikmin. Pikmin Bloom, which is made with Niantic (the makers of Pokémon GO). It is a mobile game that Nintendo is trying to prop up. After, they announced Pikmin 4, coming in 2023. Gameplay was not shown.
Furthermore, this year is Kirby’s 30th anniversary. Naturally, Kirby’s Return to Dreamland is getting a deluxe remake. The game was first available on the Wii. It launches in February, too.

Nintendo Online getting more great games
The Nintendo Online Expansion Pack is also getting more games. Several fun N64 games are coming this year:
- Pilotwings 64
- Mario Party
- Mario Party 2
The following year, the subscription gets Pokémon Stadium, Pokémon Stadium 2, Mario Party 3, 1080 Snowboarding, and Excitebike 64. Additionally, Goldeneye 007 is coming, but without a firm release date.

Breath of the Wild 2 finally given a name
Nintendo saved the biggest announcement of the day for last. To cap the stream, Nintendo gave fans a look at one of the most highly anticipated games in the company’s history.
After months of speculation, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 has a real name and a release date.
The sequel is titled The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It comes out May of 2023. Additionally, they showed hopeful players a little bit of gameplay. Now, fans of the franchise no longer have to wonder.
Lastly, Nintendo also gave an update about the Super Mario Bros. movie, giving it a release date of spring 2023. Surprisingly, they did not debut the trailer. The film stars Chris Pratt, Seth Rogen, Jack Black, Anya Taylor-Joy and many others.
