Oddin.gg Expands Esports Betting Solutions By Securing Maryland License

Esports betting solutions provider Oddin.gg has secured a sports betting vendor license in Maryland.

This marks the company’s seventh license in North America, adding to Arizona, New Jersey, Colorado, West Virginia, Ohio, and Ontario, Canada.

Marek Suchar, Co-Founder and Managing Director at Oddin.gg, said, “Maryland represents an important addition to our North American regulatory footprint. The state’s strong sports betting performance and growing esports community create an ideal environment for operators to deliver market-leading esports betting experiences.

“This license strengthens our ability to support partners in Maryland as esports continues to gain traction among bettors.”

Esports Betting Continues Global Expansion

The company said that approximately 23% of US sports bettors now place wagers on esports, with North America accounting for more than 40% of global esports betting revenue in 2024.

Oddin obtained its sixth license when entering Arizona at the end of 2024. It has also gained certification in Brazil to provide esports data feeds to licensed betting platforms

The company says it maximizes partner “profitability by combining automated infrastructure and machine learning algorithms with advanced data science.”

At the end of last year, it acquired Gamescorekeeper, a specialist esports data company offering structured game, team, and player information.

Esports and Betting Growing In Maryland

Oddin claims that esports is attracting increasing interest in Maryland. A thriving esports community includes the University of Maryland’s Terps Esports program, which competes in the Big Esports Conference (BEC) alongside 17 other major U.S. universities.

In 2024, Calvert Hall College also launched the state’s first high school esports club. The club has attracted 65 students across 14 teams, competing in seven different games, including Overwatch, Madden, Rocket League, and Fortnite.

The state is also seeing an increase in sports betting, with over $6.6 billion wagered in 2025, a 12% increase from 2024. November broke the record for monthly handle and revenue. Residents wagered $720.1 million, leading to licensed betting companies generating $95.4 million.

Oddin will provide its services in Maryland primarily to theScore Bet as the platform looks to grow in the US. The platform has taken over ESPN Bet’s license after parent company PENN ended its deal with ESPN last year.
