A hitscan gang member, an omnic detective, an augmented super soldier: Here are the leaked heroes coming to Overwatch in 2026

Overwatch is having a big year after its reset. In Season 1, Blizzard introduced a ton of big gameplay and quality-of-life changes as well as five new heroes. They later changed one of their faces. Then, another hero was revealed for Season 2: Sierra.
Apparently, the leaker who correctly predicted Sierra and her kit ahead of the reveal has now given us information about the next four heroes coming in 2026. Take it with a grain of salt, but they weren’t wrong about Sierra.

For Season 3, we are essentially getting the “female version of Cassidy,” according to the leak. She will have a very similar weapon and abilities to the cowboy’s, but her backstory is very different. This DPS is the leader of the Hashimoto clan, a gang operating in Japan.
The Overwatch community is largely not excited about having another Cassidy-style hero in the game. Having another straightforward gun-wielding hero is not ideal.
Her appearance has been another talking point, with players worried she’ll have another generic anime-style face. The person sharing the leaks admitted she may have a bit of a generic look, but she will be older than the heroes we’ve been getting.

The Season 4 hero will be a tank named D.Mon. While the silhouette shows a massively bulky mech, the leak claims this hero will be high mobility. This leads me to believe it’s another person controlling a mech, similar to D.Va. The name is another giveaway.
One interesting element of D.Mon is that there may be a “new kind of health” for this hero. I’m not fully sure what this means, but it sounds intriguing.

An omnic detective is coming for Season 5. This omnic will use a cane as his primary weapon. While a lot of people have expressed frustration with an omnic detective being support instead of playing a more aggressive role, it should be noted that he does have “anti-healing aura.” It doesn’t seem like he will be hiding in the back the entire match.
One weirdo in the replies was growing frustrated at this point, demanding a female support instead of an omnic. I’m not sure why a support hero has to be female, but we already have plenty of those.

The last hero coming in 2026 is a support known as “Hivemind.” She is a former Talon member – Oh, she. A female support is coming. Hivemind is an augmented super soldier that is said to have an army of drones. This is based on her silhouette, but some have argued that it’s just her hairstyle.
The name “Hivemind” is probably familiar to those who follow Overwatch’s lore. She appeared in the Overwatch Declassified book, kidnapping UN diplomats that Reinhardt had to eventually save. This will make for some interesting tension in the game.

Per usual, the reaction has been mixed. Some Overwatch players feel the backstories will be exciting for these upcoming heroes while others are frustrated that more DPS are coming. Another hitscan hero was especially troubling for players, who pointed out that it’s boring and repetitive.
