PARIVISION Pulls Out of BLAST Slam IV Week Before Event
One week before BLAST Slam IV’s online group stage is set to begin (October 14), a top Dota 2 team, PARIVISION, has pulled out, leaving the organizers with a hole to fill.
As the first S-Tier tournament following The International 2025 (TI14), there were bound to be some struggles for BLAST Slam IV. The latest development is that PARIVISION, one of the top squads invited, will not compete. Here’s why.
Why Did PARIVISION Decline BLAST Slam IV Spot?
PARIVISION announced that they will not participate in BLAST Slam IV, allowing players time to rest.
“In order to give our players time to rest and recover after an intense season, it was decided to start a new competitive сircuit from FISSURE PLAYGROUND 2,” said PARIVISION. The organization went on to thank fans for their support of the team and stated that the work will continue.

With the post-TI roster shuffle, retirement announcements, and concerns about possible team/player burnout on the minds of many organizations, a team pulling out of BLAST Slam IV doesn’t come as a surprise.
However, there’s no need for PARIVISION fans to get worried about roster changes. On September 26, the organization confirmed that there will be no changes to the Dota 2 roster for the upcoming season.
For reference, earlier troubles for the BLAST Slam IV event saw the organizer resolve a scheduling conflict with FISSURE Playground 2, moving the group stage forward.
Not long after, BLAST announced that the Filipino team Execration will be replacing PARIVISION at Slam IV in Singapore.

While PARIVISION are a top team that placed third at The International, Execration doesn’t have quite the same stature, as they didn’t even qualify. That said, they will no doubt want to capitalize on the opportunity and possibly cause some upsets.
BLAST Slam IV in Singapore starts on October 14 and ends on November 9, meaning the PARIVISION players will get a pretty significant rest before starting their next campaign.
