Fairy Type Pokémon Weakness – Be The Very Best!
Fairy type Pokémon weakness is a big part of the franchise. All types have their distinct advantages and The Pokémon Company strives to make each one viable in its own way. There is no such thing as a useless type- even Normal-type is worth using sometimes. However, not all of them are as good as others. Even though they try to make them balanced, it’s difficult to balance them all perfectly. For example, Electric-type only has one single weakness: Ground-type. It’s important to know what beats Fairy type.
Fairy type is one of the less balanced types. Many consider it to be the most overpowered type, if such a word can be used to describe it. It’s super effective against Dark, Dragon and Fighting-type Pokémon and will make quick work of them. It also has advantages that often deplete an enemy’s Attack or Defense stat. This is especially true in Pokémon GO Rising Heroes.
However, as with all types, it does have weaknesses. Here’s the full list of Pokémon fairy type weaknesses!

Fairy type Pokémon weakness: Use Steel and Poison
While it’s not as advantageous as Electric-types with a single weakness, there aren’t many weaknesses for Fairy-type Pokémon. Only Steel and Poison-type moves are super effective against a Fairy-type. Recently, Generation IV introduced one Pokémon that can hit both of those weaknesses: Varoom and Revavroom. The Paldean Pokémon is a Steel/Poison-type Pokémon and it’s the only one in all nine generations with that type combination.
This makes it an excellent counter for a Fairy-type, provided it actually has those two kinds of moves. Either way, a Fairy attack will not do much damage to Varoom or Revavroom, so it’s a safe choice.

Fairy type weakness: What beats Fairy type
Steel and Poison are the only super effective Pokémon types. Unfortunately, they are two of the least common types as well. Nevertheless, there are plenty you can use. Avoid any dual-type Pokémon like a Steel/Fighting type or a Poison/Dragon type. That will sort of negate the advantage.

These will be very useful in a fight against a Fairy-type Pokémon. However, it is always good to keep in mind the secondary or primary typing of the Fairy type you’re battling. For example, if you’re facing Dedenne, then using Tentacruel may not be the wisest choice. If you’re facing Azumarill, then a battle with Salazzle might not end well.
There’s a lot of nuance to battling well, but using these Pokémon against a Fairy type will generally pay off. Tinkaton is a Fairy/Steel-type Pokémon, which can also be used to negate the Steel-type’s super effective nature. Galarian Weezing can do the same from a Poison perspective since it is a Poison/Fairy dual type.
