If you’re looking to add some extra fun to your journey, cheat codes are a great way to enhance your gameplay. Here’s a guide to some popular and unique cheat codes for Pokemon White.

Generation 5 was certainly a divisive one, with many hailing it as their favorite or least favorite of all Pokemon games, but Pokemon White cheat codes are still in demand.

Cheat systems have come a long way once you reach the DS, many of them are toggle-able with the use of a button. Obviously some of these are quite hard to scale back, meaning you’ll be committed to a cheated file if you use “Max Money”, for example. Luckily your shiny Pokemon caught with the cheat won’t become unshiny if you stop.

If Nuzlocking or ROM Hacks aren’t your thing, here’s some of the most popular cheats for a standard game of Pokemon White.

1. Infinite Money

Want to never worry about cash again? Here’s how:

2. 900 Rare Candies

If you’re not using a Nuzlocke mod, you might be using this level up your Pokémon to the appropriate level to skip wild grinding:

3. 900 Master Balls

No need to worry about how to improve your catching if you’re just chucking 100% catch rate balls:

5. Unlimited PP (Power Points)

Never run out of PP during battles:

Encounter Shiny Pokémon

Want to catch shiny Pokémon easily? Use this cheat:

Code: 521A96F0 1C221C39 This increases your chances of encountering shiny Pokémon in the wild to 100%. This also works on Legendary Pokemon that aren’t supposed to become shiny at all.

Gym Badge Cheats

Considering its the main driving force of the game, we’re not sure why you’d want this except to use HMs early:

This used to be a feature in the Gen 3 games, but its not always a mainstay, so if you want to run it back.

How do I use cheats in Pokemon White?

To use these cheats, you’ll need a GameShark, Action Replay, or a similar cheat device. You’ll want the cheat cartridge in your DS and boot it up to enter the codes.

Enter the codes carefully to ensure they work correctly. However, Action Replays for the DS tend to have many of these codes pre-installed, and these codes are more for reference if one doesn’t work natively. After using the cheat cartridge you take it out without powering off your DS and put in your Pokemon White cartridge.

If you’re an emulator enthusiast, your software of choice should have a cheats tab where you can copy and paste in these codes.
