The PUBG Mobile Regional Clash is an inter-regional tournament in which teams from two regions lock horns for the title. The competition is an interesting concept as it not only paves the way for regional rivalries to develop but also gives fans continuous esports action.

“This year has been off to a great start for the competitive PUBG MOBILE scene and there’s still plenty to come! We’re very excited to announce the second instalment of the PMRC, allowing fans to see how each region’s playstyle and tactics match up against each other. With the success of the first year’s PMRC in mind, we’re looking forward to seeing how team strategies have advanced since then,” said James Yang, Director of PUBG MOBILE Global Esports.

PUBG Mobile Regional Clash (PMRC) returns with four different editions

The PUBG Mobile Regional Clash (PMRC) is set to happen four times from June to October 2023. The schedule and teams in it are divided as follows:

  • SEA vs South Asia: It will take place from June 29 to July 2 with the top eight teams each of the Super League (PMSL) and the South Asia Championship.
  • Middle East and Africa vs Europe by Gamers8: This tournament will take place from July 20 to 23 and will be a part of the Gamers8 festival. The top eight teams of the Middle East and Africa Championship will face off against eight teams from the European Championship.
  • Europe vs Africa: Taking place from Aug. 10 to 13, this edition of the tournament will feature the top teams from the PMPL Europe and the PMPL Africa.
  • PEL vs SEA: Perhaps the most high-octane PMRC will be the one between China and SEA. It will happen from Oct. 20 to 22 with the top eight teams each of the Peacekeeper Elite League (PEL) Summer and the PMSL.

New Regional Points System

The four PMRCs in 2023 are set to get even more exciting with a new regional points system. While the tournament will use the standard PUBG Mobile esports points system for placements and kills, there will be an addition to it.

Tencent is adding a new regional points system besides the individual team scores. This will track the regional performance as well to let fans view which is the better region.
