All details for PUBG’s PC training mode unveiled

A training mode for PUBG has been asked for by the community for months. PUBG Corp. has repeatedly said that some technical issues have prevented them from implementing it. Thankfully, those issues have been overcome and PUBG Corp. has announced that a new training mode will be coming to the PC version of PUBG soon.

Here is everything we know about the new PUBG PC training mode.

PUBG’s Training Mode – Release date, features, and more

Firstly, let’s talk about the release date. The exact date hasn’t been set, but the developers are targeting a September launch. This release window may be changed depending on how successful the development process goes.

Now let’s take a look at the features. PUBG Corp. revealed in a new announcement post that the training mode won’t just feature a gun range. It’ll also give players the opportunity to test all other aspects of PUBG. Whether it’s driving, parachuting, firing weapons, or anything else, the training mode will give players the chance to test everything out.

Here is a look at the full list of included features:

  • A gun range with all weapons available
  • Incremental ranges used for targets
  • Ranges include 400m, 800m, and 1km
  • Free target range features standing and moving targets
  • CQC course and indoor CQC range
  • Melee range
  • Parkour area
  • Vehicle tracks for long racing, off road, and long distance
  • Stunt ramps
  • Open water and water ramps for water vehicles
  • Tables that contain all in-game equipment

With all of these features, players will truly get the freedom to test out every last aspect of PUBG. Players can also use the training map to have fun with driving and just play casually in a sandbox style environment.

For those serious about PUBG, this training mode will give players the freedom to fully test every last weapon. It can also be useful for practicing aim on moving targets. There are even targets that peak in and out from cover.

This is also a great step for the PUBG community because it allows content creators to test weapons as they are released and provide important performance stats to everybody.

Currently, players have limited tools to fully test weapons and as a result, there is a lot of rough information on which weapons are the best for different situations.

When the training mode drops, it will appear as a seperate map in the player lobby. Players will be able to join as a solo, duo, or squad, and the training map will join you with up to 20 other players.

The size of the training map is 2x2km, so roughly four times smaller than the Sanhok map.

So far, we’re not sure whether players will be able to kill each other on this map, or whether players will be invincible. Because the training map will use public matchmaking, we would expect damage to be turned off to stop griefing.

It would be nice if a damage option could be turned on or off, however, because it would give players the ability to test weapon damage and armor protection stats.

What are your thoughts on the new PUBG training map? Are you excited?
