Pure Leaves BetBoom After Dota 2 TI as Tundra Links Grow
The post-The International roster shuffle in Dota 2 has seen another major change, with Ivan “Pure” Moskalenko officially parting ways with the BetBoom Team.
The 21-year-old carry has been moved to the team’s inactive roster, ending a three-year run with the team where he became one of the most celebrated players in Dota 2.
Pure’s Rise to the Top
Pure first joined the BetBoom Team in December 2022 as a teenage prodigy, riding the highs from his time under Entity. In just a few short years, the Russian continued to improve and developed into one of the most impressive carry players in the world for his high risk, high reward playstyle.
He secured his first Tier 1 trophy – and BetBoom’s as well – at BLAST Slam I in late 2024, before going to collect more silverware at FISSURE Universe: Episode 4 and PGL Wallachia Season 5 to total three trophies. His final showing for the team came at The International 2025, where he propelled the team to secure a respectable 4th-place finish.

Known for his wide hero pool and aggressive style, Pure was often the centerpiece and main focus of BetBoom’s success.
The organization shared its gratitude in an official statement, saying: “Vanyok has played over 500 matches with our team, participated in numerous tournaments, and proudly defended the BetBoom Team tag!
Thank you for your hard work and shared victories.”
Pure himself also thanked the team and fans with the following words: “Thanks to the organization and all the teammates for the experience, and to the fans for their support. A new stage lies ahead, and we’ll see what it brings.”
Pure to Tundra?
Speculation around Pure’s future, which he hinted at, has already heated up. Rumors place him on Tundra Esports, who are undergoing a rebuild after the departures of Martin “Saksa” Sazdov and Remco “Crystallis” Arets – the latter being the player Pure would most likely replace, given they share the same role.
Pure is no stranger to donning the Tundra jersey. He was loaned to the team for The International 2024, where he stepped in as their carry and helped them reach 3rd-place alongside legends like Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov.
That run, combined with him already forming a potent laning duo with Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon, makes a move back to Tundra feel like a natural transition. Still, the rest of the lineup looks very different from the one he previously competed with in 2024.
Who Replaces Pure on BetBoom?

While Pure has often been the player to watch on BetBoom, it’s important to remember that the roster is still packed with star power in every other role. With names like Danil “gpk” Skutin and Vitalie “Save-” Melnic anchoring the lineup, the foundation of the team is still strong and present heading into the next season.
The frontrunner is Ilya “Kiritych” Ulyanov, who already stood in for Pure during DreamLeague Season 26, helping the team finish in second place. That brief but successful stint makes him the most natural option to fill the position.
Another possible candidate is Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov, formerly of the now-dissolved Gaimin Gladiators roster. The 23-year-old is a proven carry with international experience and could be a strong pickup for BetBoom thanks to his mechanical prowess.
