Rumour Mill: FaZe Clan Set Sights on Twistzz Return in Swap Deal for EliGE
A huge rumour has broken over the last couple of days involving FaZe Clan’s Jonathan “EliGE” Jablonowski and Team Liquid’s Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken.
Russian leaker OverDrive stated on Telegram that the two renowned organizations are in the process of engineering a deal that will see the two heavy-hitters swap places on their respective teams.

A Homecoming in the Making for Two CS Superstars
EliGE joined FaZe Clan in January this year after departing Complexity, but the American has failed to hit the heights he did with his previous team.
His tenure at Complexity has been heavily criticised for poor performances and causing role clashes. Notable community figures such as HLTV’s Striker have suggested that FaZe wanted to move away from one of their current core: EliGE, Finn “karrigan” Andersen, and David “frozen” Cernansky.
In the recent off-season, VRS rules prevented them from doing so. He also suggested FaZe could make a move following the Esports World Cup.
Given frozen’s status as an elite player within his role, and karrigan is the IGL, that leaves EliGE.
A return for Twistzz would also see the team take up a similar shape as when they enjoyed brief periods of dominance in early 2022 and late 2023. The only difference would be frozen in place of Robin “ropz” Kool.
EliGE moving to Liquid would give them the true, naturally aggressive player they currently lack.

Why Both Players Could Thrive in Their Former Homes
In the case of Twistzz, although he has performed admirably on an individual level, his return to Liquid since departing FaZe at the end of 2023 has been nothing short of a disaster.
Since the Canadian’s arrival in December 2023, the team has seen four players depart its active roster, as well as two coaches.
Twistzz also had to convert to being a makeshift IGL for a time after the team failed to hit the ground running with Danish AWP IGL, Casper “cadiaN” Moller.
A return to FaZe would likely see Twistzz give up the star responsibilities he has enjoyed while a part of Liquid and return to being the supportive “glue” element he excelled at during his first stint with FaZe.
Both teams may need further moves to get back to their desired level. However, the swap would undoubtedly be a step in the right direction for them. The CS world will now have to await the conclusion of the EWC event to see if these moves come to fruition.
