Team Heretics has announced it has agreed to accept Théo “Sheo” Borile‘s request to be benched from the starting roster, with academy jungler Kacper “Daglas” Dagie taking his place.

It marks a return for Daglas to the LEC after nearly two years since he last played as a rookie jungler with Vitality’s 2024 roster.

Sheo requested to leave

Sheo is the captain and long-time veteran of the LEC and has been with Heretics since 2025, after replacing Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski, who joined an ERL personality project in the now-deceased NLC ERL. Heretics struggled through 2025, with a few ups and downs along the way.

The same was true in 2026, when the team showed weakness, then some strong moments here and there, including reaching the playoffs in LEC Versus on the final day.

However, the return to Spring has seen Heretics flounder, looking like one of the closest contenders for the bottom. Only some freak wins from Fnatic and SK upset that trend. Shifters look like a renewed team too, despite their awful return to the league in their first play date.

With the results, it seems like Sheo has, as we LoL tilters say, “mental boomed” and requested leave from the team. Team Heretics management agreed to the decision, marking an indefinite benching. It is unclear if Sheo will return under the Heretics banner anytime soon. But it sounds like the player needs a long break, given the troubles the org has faced with results in the past 16 months.

It was also the only team to make a roster change heading into this split. Which is part of the reason why the LEC is exciting.

Daglas returns to the LEC

In good news, Daglas is returning after nearly two years’ absence from the LEC. He last appeared as part of the Spring roster for Vitality in 2024, before the team took a summer punt at Linas “Lyncas” Nauncikas, coming from Karmine Corp’s academy roster in the French ERL.

Lyncas had more pedigree to his talent, with his flair in ERLs getting the attention of many. It left Daglas, who was largely relegated to Rell jungle duty in the face of backup engage tools with Zdravets “Hylissang” Galabov on the team before he exited a year later from Vitality.

Since those days, Daglas has been with Heretics and even lifted a trophy in the Spanish ERL under the organization. The Spanish org clearly recognizes his capabilities and wants him back in the LEC to replace Sheo on the roster.

As it stands, Heretics is still fielding Daglas for one final series before the player migrates to Berlin to compete in the LEC’s remaining Spring sessions.

Can Heretics still make the playoffs?

As it stands, it’s very likely Team Heretics will not make the playoffs. This is given how Heretics is 1-5 at the moment. The league is also backlogged to the end of the regular split, where teams like G2, KOI, KC get to play most of their games.

It means we’ll only really know what playoffs look like towards the last week. It’s theoretically possible for some of the teams that have a late-heavy schedule to brick their run and miss out on playoffs, especially if Heretics can clutch a few wins before they finish their 9 BO3 series played.

It won’t be the first time that a team almost mathematically eliminated managed to clinch the playoffs with a jungle change. This led to the Schalke miracle run many years ago. It’s unlikely it will happen, but it would be a huge moment for the returning Daglas as he descends upon the German capital once again.
