Team Liquid, Method, and Echo Neck-and-Neck in WoW Race to World First: Manaforge Omega

World of Warcraft’s latest Race to World First is well underway, with the top 20 guilds all competing to be the first guild to clear Manaforge Omega on Mythic difficulty. Team Liquid, Echo, and Method look the likeliest to take home the title, but the race remains wide open.

The raid they are all competing in is the Manaforge Omega, which is the third and final raid of the World of Warcraft: The War Within raid. The current expansion saw the unlock of the Earthern, a new Allied Race in the game.

Familiar Faces Lead the Way in WoW Race to World First

There are the typical contenders such as Liquid, Method, and Echo, with other guilds such as Internet Friends, Opposite, and Equity also in the mix to conquer The War Within’s final raid.

It comes as little surprise that Liquid, Method, and Echo are storming ahead, with all three guilds at the penultimate boss in the race. Both Liquid and Echo are on EU servers, while Method is on US servers.

Echo alone is incredibly close to beating the seventh boss of the raid, Nexus-King Salhadaar.

The squad’s latest update (at time of writing), which can be seen on Raider.io, is 80.96% in phase three, inching them ever closer to beating the seventh boss.

The roster is gradually whittling Nexus-King down, adjusting to new mechanics, and could soon land the pull that sees them just one boss away from being the race champions. The guild has already achieved the accolade of world’s first Fractillus kill.

Method has also defeated the sixth boss of the raid. At the time of writing, Method’s best attempt is 91.69% in the third phase.

Team Liquid is also in the running, and the three guilds are neck-and-neck. Currently, Liquid has edged the boss down to 62.44% in the third phase.

All three guilds are neck-and-neck, and it’s anyone’s guess as to which guild will win the final race of this WoW expansion.

Nothing Between Liquid, Method, and Echo

The Race to World First is coming to a quick close, with the nail-biting finale being streamed by the competing guilds across various channels on Twitch.

The previous (second) raid of World of Warcraft: The War Within was the Nerub-ar Palace, with Liquid taking World First, Echo in second, and Method in third. Given the European/American raiding time disparity, the race remains wide-open.

We may see the previous one, two, three reversed. At present, it’s too close to call and we’re in for a gripping finale.
