TFT Arcane Tactician’s Crown – Introduction and Format
The new event will take place on March 14-16, featuring the top 40 players across four regions. The winner will earn a major share of the $470K prize pool ($150K) and crowned champion. Each region will have a separate number of players, divided as follows
- APAC: 12 players (+1 for TC Winner, +1 for Regional Performance)
- China: 10 players
- America: 9 players (+1 for Regional Performance)
- EMEA: 9 players (+1 for Regional Performance)
Starting with Set 14, the regional performance slots will be given based on the total points of the top four players from each region after Day 2 of every Tactician’s Crown event.
Event Format
The event will span three days and will be structured around lobbies. On Day 1, the 40 players will be drawn into their 5 starting lobbies and play 6 games total. Lobbies are shuffled after every 2 games, with the top 32 advancing to Day 2. This means that 8 players will be eliminated on Day 1.
On the second day, players will retain the points from the previous day, and the 32 players will be split into 4 lobbies, playing a total of two games. After Game 2, the bottom 8 players will be eliminated and the process will be repeated, with the top 24 split into 3 lobbies and 8 players eliminated at the end of Game 4.
To determine the final eight, the top 16 will play 3 games, with a shuffle after the second game. In the Grand Final, a single lobby of eight players will square off. The first one to reach 20 points and then secure a first-place finish will be crowned the Into the Arcane Champion!
