VALORANT shares antisemitic tweet, bringing out some of the worst gamers you know

The official VALORANT account is under fire after posting a very alarming tweet on X referencing rapper Kanye West’s antisemitic rhetoric.
On April 4th, VALORANT posted a clip of Stable Ronaldo racking up kills in a game with the caption: “Watched Ye yesterday, came locked in today.”
The tweet is referring to Ye, formerly Kanye West, who has come out as a raging Nazi over the past few years. The hip hop artist just had a concern in the past few days, which is likely what the tweet was attempting to call back to, but saying you are inspired by a neo-Nazi’s music hasn’t gone over well.
After tweeting that he was “going death con three” on Jewish people, claiming “I’m a Nazi,” selling t-shirts with a swastika on them during the Super Bowl, and making a music video for a song called “Heil Hitler,” Ye has basically solidified himself as an antisemite (albeit an unstable one).
Ye attempted to apologize in January 2026, stating in an advertisement in the Wall Street Journal: “I am not a Nazi or antisemite. I love Jewish people.” He then claimed he was having a severe mental health crisis and had “lost touch with reality,” causing him to become psychotic and paranoid. He added that he needed “patience and understanding” while he finds his way home again.

I’m not here to say if he is truly sorry if he is can be excused for being mentally ill. I’m just here to say that VALORANT’s social media account was clearly referencing Ye’s former remarks about Jewish people. The tweet was basically VALORANT “glazing a Nazi” and celebrating Hitler, as many gamers noted on X.
VALORANT players react to antisemitic Nazi post on X
The VALORANT community response has been mixed. While some feel that the tweet was Riot “becoming less performative” and “not feeding into the woke agenda,” others were shocked that an official account would essentially say that Ye’s Nazi rhetoric inspired them to go on a shooting spree in VALORANT.
Discourse around antisemitism has always been highly complex online, resulting in a lot more mixed reactions than other forms of prejudice would get. It’s become quite normalized to spew hate about Jewish people across social media, with even celebrities like Ye getting praise for discussing conspiracy theories and stereotypes.

Whether you are loving the edgy statement from VALORANT’s social media lead Imran Kidwai or find it offensive, the fact that an official game account said it at all – and kept it up for days – is the shocking part. Nobody is shocked that some gamers find it funny or even agree with the things Ye said while suffering from delusions and psychosis. We are shocked that VALORANT has allowed it.
Ye has been canceled from sponsorships and concerts due to his antisemitic statements, including Pepsi withdrawing its sponsorship from a music festival featuring the artist. Australia even canceled his visa. Many brands have denounced Ye over the years, but VALORANT apparently isn’t. And Riot is fine empowering impressionable teen gamers to keep saying nasty things about Jews and other people by keeping this tweet up.
Ye is someone with a lot of power, which makes it all the more concerning that he was spreading violent hate on social media to his followers. I mean, you see how young boys listen to random balding podcasters. Ye probably has even more sway than that.

Right now, many VALORANT players are calling on Riot to delete the post and investigate its social media team. While it may be seen as “edgy humor” to some, it’s alarming and disturbing to others. And no matter how you feel about it, it’s not something an official account should be posting either way.
Leave the cringe to the kids in the lobbies, alright?
