100 Thieves Finally Put Valorant Roster Rumours to Rest By Re-Signing Two Biggest Stars

After a disappointing year for 100 Thieves Valorant, rumours suggested that the roster would undergo a complete overhaul ahead of the 2026 VCT season – but they’re going into the next season with some serious firepower sticking around.

Those roster shuffle rumours have officially been put to bed with the announcement that Matthew “Cryocells” Panganiban and Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk have re-signed with the organization.

The duo have both been with 100 Thieves for a number of years, meaning that the organization will retain some of their core identity in Valorant as they look to strengthen ahead of the new year.

Solid Foundations

100 Thieves previously benched their entire roster in September, two months after an early 9-12th-place exit from the Esports World Cup. EWC was the only international LAN they played all year, having failed to qualify for both Valorant Masters Bangkok and Tokyo following domestic struggles.

The benchings have already seen four players depart the organization, including long-standing member Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic and Kelden “Boostio” Pupello, who was signed last year after leading Evil Geniuses to victory at VALORANT Champions 2023.

It was expected that Asuna and Cryocells would be following them out the door, with Cryocells being rumoured to join a number of Americas organizations, including Sentinels’ freshly-announced team that has undergone some changes

The duo will now be sticking around, though, a welcome beginning to a new roster in the eyes of 100 Thieves fans.

Both players are fan-favourites for the Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag-owned organization, with Asuna being a member since 2020 and Cryocells joining in 2022 after breakout performances on the XSET squad that placed 5th-6th at VALORANT Champions 2022.

Since Cryocells joined in 2022, the team has won one international event at Red Bull Home Ground #3. Their best placement in a VCT event came at VALORANT Masters Shanghai 2024, where they came fourth.

Who else might join?

Although it is currently unclear who else might be joining the roster, reputable leaker Akamaru is reporting that former 100 Thieves player Sean “bang” Bezerra will be returning to the team following the expiration of his contract with Sentinels.

There has also been suggestions that Zachary “zekken” Patrone could join to reunite with former XSET teammate Cryocells, although Sheep Esports are reporting that he is set to join MIBR
