Are skin changers bannable in VALORANT?

Having a skin in VALORANT can enhance your player experience tenfold. Even though they don’t provide additional combat stats, they give VALORANT a fresh feel that can make the player return for more.  Some players, however, don’t want to use their money to purchase a weapon skin and will go a different route: skin changers. But are they bannable in VALORANT? Stay tuned to find out.

Skin changers are pieces of software that alter the game files, giving the appearance of a skin without the user having physically purchased the skin.

This is popular in Riot Games’ League of Legends, to the point that a whole community has formed around it.

Does Riot Games ban you from using skin changers in VALORANT?

Riot Games has a strict policy regarding competitive integrity. This means that any software that alters the game in any way is bannable. Riot has never been clear on these mods, given they are only cosmetic, but players in the past have been banned.

To put it bluntly, don’t use skin changers; they tamper with the game’s files, which strictly violates VALORANT’s policy. There are plenty of other ways to get VALORANT skins!

If you have an account that you have spent hundreds on and have multiple skins for every weapon, don’t even bother to try using skin changers in VALORANT. It’s not worth the risk, and having the skin will not improve your performance in any way. You’ll likely lose that account, and your efforts will have gone to waste.

The best advice we could give is to take the time to save up for that skin you want.

Riot Games prides itself on protecting the game they made for its players. The Vanguard anti-cheat system makes it nearly impossible for third-party software to bypass Riots’ system. Even if you get past it initially, Riot is constantly patching holes in their system.
