Best controller settings for VALORANT Console

For years, the only way to play VALORANT was with a keyboard and mouse. But with the recent launch of VALORANT on Xbox and PS5, you can finally play the game with your DualShock or Xbox controller. However, finding the best combination of the controller settings isn’t an easy task, especially if you’re just getting started. Therefore, I’ll walk you through the best controller settings to help you play VALORANT Console like a pro.

By default, the controller settings preset is set to VALORANT. But if you want to change the preset, click R3 to cycle through options in the settings menu. The “traditional” preset puts crouch on Circle/B, similar to other FPS games, and we highly recommend using this configuration especially if you play Call of Duty titles on your console. As always, you can remap buttons if needed, like swapping crouch from L3 to Circle.

You can also switch between other controller keymap presets such as Bumper Shooter, Fighter and Tactician, depending on the agent you’re playing. For instance, the Finger mode is specifically made for the duelists whose primary objective is to lead their team and take entry frag for their squads.
