Bleed yay announces a temporary break from VALORANT esports
If there was one team that VALORANT fans worldwide were excited to see, it would be the Singaporean organization Bleed Esports. They qualified for the VCT Pacific after winning Ascension in 2023. With a new roster, many believed that Bleed would be one of the best teams in the region. Sadly, things haven’t gone according to plan, and recently, Bleed Esports announced that Jaccob ‘yay’ Whiteaker has taken a temporary break from VALORANT.
Reasons For Yay’s temporary break from VALORANT

Today’s announcement comes after a significant situation that took place between yay and his former teammate genghsta. On April 27th, genghsta, on his X profile, posted a clip during his time at DSG. This clip was from one of the scrim matches in which they were placed in a team together. In this clip, it could be seen that yay wasn’t happy with his team at their performance. Within the thread on X, genghsta also claimed that yay paid the coach of DGS $10,000 to bench genghsta from the team.
In a post on X @genshsta stated the following concerning yay:
“I’ve had probably 20 different teammates since the start of my career, and none has ever been so difficult to play with.”
It does seem like all the drama concerning yay did take a toll on his health. Today Bleed Esports announced a statement concerning yay. In a statement on X, Bleed Esports has stated the following:
“After concluding the first split, yay has decided to take a temporary break for health reasons before returning to competing.”
Since then, there has been no response from yay on this situation. Bleed Esports have been under pressure since their underwhelming performance during the VCT Pacific Kickoff, losing to the likes of Global Esports in quite a dominating manner. Since his arrival at Bleed Esports, yay has been under a lot of pressure from fans worldwide. Many hoped that the El Diablo during his time in Optic, would return this year. Sadly, things haven’t gone to plan. Bleed Esports in VCT Pacific Stage One won just one match in the tournament against Detonation FocusMe. Due to this, they couldn’t make it to the VCT Pacific Stage One playoff stage.
What is next for Bleed Esports in Stage Two of the VCT Pacific?

With yay going to take a temporary break from VALORANT, Bleed Esports are one player short in their roster. According to a report by @TanmayyMhatre on X, Crazyguy has now been moved into the active roster by Bleed Esports. Ideally, the player can provide a new dimension to Bleed Esports in VCT Pacific Stage Two.
