How to change region in VALORANT?
Imagine moving to a whole new country to pursue your dreams, but you don’t want to leave VALORANT behind. The first thing you need to do is change the region of your VALORANT account; otherwise, you will face the infamous high ping issue and sometimes packet loss too.
Thankfully, Riot Games allows everyone to switch regions as needed, but the process is not as simple as you might think. Therefore, we’ll walk you through the complete steps to help you change the region in VALORANT.

You can change the region of your VALORANT account by submitting a Ticket at the VALORANT support page with the following info:
- Username
- Riot ID and Tagline
- E-mail address
- Current RoR
- RoR you want to transfer to
However, it’s important to note that once you transfer your account to a different region of residence, you can’t transfer it again for 90 days.

As of writing this article, VALORANT servers are located in the following regions:
- Southeast Asia/Asia-Pacific (AP)
- Europe (EU)
- Korea (KR)
- Brazil (BR)
- Latin America (LATAM)
- North America (NA)
If you’re creating a new VALORANT account, your region will be automatically determined based on your current physical location. So if you created your account while in the United States, for example, your Region of Residence would be the USA, and you’d be on the North America shard.
It’s also worth noting that information like Current Ranked Season Data, purchase history, and match history will be completely erased once you change your region. So, make this decision wisely. Thankfully, all of your skin collection, characters, loadout, account level, MMR, and other progress will remain intact even after the region changes.
