VALORANT 8.09 Patch Notes: Brim buff and crosshair missing bug fix

VALORANT Patch 8.09 brings a mix of minor adjustments to the Brim agent and fixes the infamous Crosshair Disappear bug. Since the next act is right around the corner, we won’t be seeing any major changes for the next couple of days. So, here’s what we know so far about the VALORANT 8.09 patch notes.

First of all, we have minor updates to Brimstone’s Sky Smoke (E) to ensure that it fully covers the area indicated by the UI when you are placing it. This change allows you to spawn smoke that fully covers a choke point by matching the outer edge of the targeting UI with it. Apart from this, Brimstone’s smoke radius has been slightly enlarged to match the smoke size of his counterparts like Omen. Here’s a brief summary:

Sky Smoke (E)

  • Radius increased from 410 to 415.

The UI targeting size has been updated so that the outer edge properly reflects the size of the smoke.

Bug Fixes

  • Riot has fixed the annoying crosshair disappearing bug.
  • The issue regarding the Killed By feed on Combat Reports being incorrect has been fixed.
  • Additionally, bullet tracers still being visible after being turned off in Settings if the player fires away from the map has been fixed.
  • Lastly, Riot has fixed an issue where the client would freeze after a game ends and would require a client restart to continue.

Thankfully, VALORANT servers won’t go under maintenance to deploy this update. As a result, players can enjoy their competitive and unranked matches without any interruptions. The developers might also introduce a new skin bundle in the next update, so stay tuned for that.
