The VALORANT console beta is available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The limited beta codes were available to fans on June 14th. To get the codes, fans must register for the beta on the Riot Games website. This is the first time a mainstream game published by Riot Games will be available to play on a console like PS5 and not on the PS4.
The VALORANT console limited beta is similar to how Riot launched the game for PC. At the start, VALORANT was known as Project A. Following its announcement in 2020, the game’s beta was launched on April 7, 2020. Following the launch, the game was available for almost two months. The VALORANT PC beta was closed on May 28th of that same year.
What is the VALORANT console beta end date?
We could predict a timeline for the VALORANT beta if we look at the timelines. This is Riot Games’ first significant game for the console. Due to this, it can be expected that the beta will be longer than the PC. This tests various aspects of the game, such as the regional servers and tick rate. One could expect a more extended beta period with the game currently available in 3 regions. We believe the VALORANT Limited Beta will be live until the end of Champions or even until October.
The beta is only available in North America, the European Union, and Japan. Riot Games has stated that it will slowly increase its availability to other regions worldwide. With the beta now live, footage of the game is already being released on various social media platforms. The game has no competitive modes available, but the new map Abyss is slated to release soon. With the early reviews of the VALORANT console being positive, only time will tell how this game will be received by the console gaming community.
