Teams To Watch Out For

We would be lying if we didn’t say that this tournament has one of the most stacked lineups at a VALORANT tournament. We have the old-school dynasties: DRX, PRX, Fnatic, and Sentinels. There are the champions of Ascension in G2 Esports and Xi Lai Gaming. Finally, there are the underdogs in RRQ, NRG Esports, Titan Esports Club, and BBL Esports.
Going into the tournament, the early favorites would be G2 Esports, FNATIC, and EDward Gaming. A significant reason for this is the team’s past and present performances in previous international VALORANT tournaments. Fnatic is still the only team to win back-to-back international events (VCT LOCK//IN and VALORANT Masters Tokyo).
While EDward Gaming is the reigning champion of VALORANT Champions 2024, G2 Esports has been on a tear since they arrived in VCT Americas. This year, they have reached the grand finals of VALORANT Masters Bangkok and are the champions of VCT Americas Kickoff and Stage One 2025.
As the next international event to take place is VALORANT Masters Toronto, one could see a change in the form of any of these teams during the event.
