Until Patch 9.00, VALORANT had quite a similar update schedule. Before the release of the new update, the game servers are taken down for some time. Sometimes, even the ranked ladder matchmaking is stopped for the time being. Following this, the update is made live, which fans can download and play on the new update.
In the past, this has resulted in specific bugs being detected within the game after the patch has gone live. To change this, Riot Games has announced a new update schedule. The content release within the game will take place in 3 parts instead of 1.

This means that all new agents and maps will be released in VALORANT one day later. For example, if a new map is launched in the game, players can play it one day after the patch goes live. The same goes for the new battle pass and the new agents that will be released within the game. The significant change is that the new skins usually available once the new patch is live will be present later. Each new skin bundle will go live two days after the patch is live.
