In the past few years, it has been noticed that VALORANT releases two new agents every year. A significant reason for this is the game being well recognized worldwide. With agents from different countries, players worldwide can relate to them.

In 2025, Tejo was the first agent released within the game. Since then, he has been considered one of the most overpowered agents in the game. This is mainly due to the high damage output of his abilities. During the recent VALORANT Masters Bangkok tournament, he had the highest agent pick rate. At the same time, he was played on nearly all maps during the tournament.

In Patch 10.04, the first nerf to Tejo is to his signature ability Guided Salve. Now the ability will do 60 damage per tick, which was previously 75. These missiles will now do 50% damage utilities like Killjoy’s Turret. This means that for each tick, it would be 30 damage. Finally, this ability will not be able to destroy Killjoy’s Ultimate ability, Lockdown. Even if used, the Lockdown will have 5 HP left that would allow the ability to be still active.

The following change comes to the Duelist Iso. It was previously stated in the VALORANT Dev Update video that Iso will be receiving multiple changes to his abilities. The first change comes to his ultimate Kill Contract. From Patch 10.04, his Double Tap will be active during this ultimate.

His ability Undercut will now have one charge instead of 2 while its costs increase from 200 credits to 300 credits. Note that enemies hit with this will now be suppressed for 4 seconds. His next ability, Contingency, will move at half speed if activated by alternate fire (right click). Finally, his signature ability, Double Tap, has been nerfed. If Iso’s shield is broken, he will get a high-peneration tag, making him more vulnerable to damage.

Significant Changes to Clove and Deadlock

Clove is slated to receive multiple changes to her abilities to ensure they are on level with the power curve of the other agents in the game. The first change to Clove is to her signature ability, Pick-me-up. The healing buff duration has increased from 8 seconds to 10 seconds. The duration of the bonus movement speed has been reduced from 8 seconds to 3 seconds.

Her ability Ruse has its cooldown increased from 30 seconds to 40 seconds. Finally, her ability to meddle has been adjusted. The delay to the ability’s explosion has been drastically reduced to 0.75 seconds. The ability will now only explode when it touches the ground.

This means players can now do lineups with this ability, similar to Viper’s toxic molotov and Sova’s shock darts.

The last agent to receive changes within this patch is Deadlock. She has been reworked with her ability, and Gravnet has become her signature ability. Alongside that, the ability’s radius has been reduced from 16 meters to 13 meters. Finally, the last change comes to her ability, Barrier Mash. From VALORANT Patch 10.04, this ability will cost 400 credits. For context, this ability was previously free.

Recently, VALORANT revealed the new agent Waylay during the VALORANT Masters Bangkok Grand Finals. She is a duelist from Thailand. While being a duelist, she has quite a few abilities to support her teammates.
