VALORANT Patch 10.08 Notes: Skin Gifting, Agent Changes, More

The VALORANT 10.08 patch is officially out now across all the platforms. It’s a huge one, as Riot Games has finally released the much-awaited gifting feature, which means you can ask for free skins from your friends on your birthday. Apart from this, the developers have also made adjustments to mainly three agents: Brimstone, Astra and Yoru, which can slightly impact the meta.

New Feature: Gifting

You can now gift select Featured Store bundles/items to friends! Here’s how:

  • Navigate to the Store
  • Open the details page for the Featured bundle or item
  • Click the Gift button in the bottom-right corner
  • Select your recipient (restrictions apply)
  • Choose to gift the full bundle or individual items
  • Send your gift!

The recipient will be prompted to accept or decline the gift the next time they log in to VALORANT. Gifting is currently limited to the featured section, but Riot has confirmed that more options will be available soon.

Apart from this, here are a few conditions that you should meet:

  • The gifter’s VALORANT account must be at least level 15.
  • Both the gifter and giftee must be unbanned and friends for at least one week.
  • You can send a limit of five gifts per day.
  • You can receive a limit of five gifts per day.
  • You can’t send content a giftee already owns.
  • Both players must be on the same game shard.

Ranked Gun Buddy Reminder

Act III is your last chance to rank up before ranked buddies drop with Patch 11.00 in Act IV. You’ll get a buddy based on your highest rank from Season 2025’s first three Acts.

  • Brimstone – Incendiary audio is now clearer, especially under smokes.
  • Astra – Nova Pulse stun duration: 4s → 3.5s
  • Yoru – Dimensional Drift duration: 12s → 10s; cost: 7 → 8

  • Waylay: Fixed reactivation bug with Convergent Paths.
  • Harbor: Fixed water bracelet clipping through thin walls.
  • Deadlock: Fixed Barrier Mesh missing audio + boosting exploit.
  • Vyse: Fixed Arc Rose cooldown, Shear wall visuals & hitbox, and Steel Garden warning indicator.
  • Yoru: Reverted clone movement mismatch fix.
  • Skye & Gekko: Trailblazer/Thrash now slowed by Waylay’s Saturate.
  • Tejo: Fixed boost & tagging issues with Stealth Drone.
  • Reyna: Fixed Devour Overheal not being interrupted by light damage.
  • Iso: Tooltip now shows reload speed buff.

Known Issues

  • Some Act III Battle Pass Player Cards have incorrect names, but a fix is ​​coming in Patch 10.09.

Premier (PC)

  • Stage V25A3 begins May 7.
  • New behavior-based ineligibility system replaces flat 30-day restriction.

Premier Bug Fixes:

  • Smaller hover text for Rank Shields in Summary screen.

Console Bug Fixes

  • Fixed overlapping long names in Timeline.
  • Act Rank screen now properly displays rank requirements and uses correct terminology.
