Valorant Star Alfajer Returns to Fnatic For Valorant Champions After Health Issues

Fnatic has announced that Valorant player Emir ‘Alfajer’ Ali Beder will be returning to the starting roster for finals weekend of Valorant Champions Paris 2025 after previously missing the last Upper Bracket match against Paper Rex due to health issues.

Alfajer is now ready to return to the tournament, where he will be joining the other Fnatic team members to play against NRG on Friday, with the hope of progressing to the Champions final.

Alfajer’s Return

Announcing the news on social media, Fnatic said: “The final boss returns. Thrilled to announce Alfajer’s all cleared and healthy, and will be rejoining us vs NRG this Friday! We’ll also be keeping doma in Paris for finals weekend for the extra buff.”

Fnatic’s team director that a private doctor was called in to assist and help expedite the process.

“The private doctor we found here in Paris was great after what was a really rough hospital experience. Very communicative & helped us expedite all of the tests/appts we needed … Let’s win it all now.”

Fnatic’s Success

Thus far, Fnatic has had a very successful competitive season, and are looking strong at Valorant Champs too. They managed to defeat DRX 2-1, before the team had to deal with competing against Paper Rex without Alfajer.

However, they managed to get the victory against their opponent with an emergency substitute, Domagoj ‘Doma’ Fancev from Enterprise Esports.

He had 16 hours’ notice before the match, and had four hours of sleep and a flight to Paris the same day of the match, as said in his post on X.

“Hi, what can I say?” he said. “4 hours of sleep straight from airport to venue and we won GG. Alfajer speedy recovery brother.”

All in all, there has been a series of victories across the board for Fnatic’s Valorant team, and now the full squad is back together for the match against NRG on Friday, October 2, with Doma on hand in the event of an emergency.

What Was Wrong With Alfajer?

At the time of writing, Alfajer hasn’t opened up about what his health issues were, but it’s unlikely he would have missed such an important match for something that he didn’t feel was major or possible to play through.

His return will no doubt be a huge boost to his Fnatic teammates, especially as the grand final and Valorant Champions glory are so tantalisingly close.
