Professions have their own Specializations and talent systems, which are all fueled by Knowledge Points that players collect through various activities. Each knowledge point spent will increase the power of that profession and unlock new perks and milestones. The more points you invest into a certain profession, the stronger it becomes.
Once you invest your Knowledge Points, they can no longer be refunded! This is why it’s important to think carefully before choosing the best professions in WoW. You don’t want to spend weeks worth of farming, only to realize you invested in the wrong thing. Luckily, there’s tons of guides and YouTube videos online covering this aspect, and the majority of the WoW player count will usually check out those first before committing to a specific profession.
You get 1 Knowledge Point once you craft an item for the first time, but the rest you’ll have to hunt for. These can be found through various activities such as open world treasures, rare mobs and bosses, certain events, reputations and random drops. These won’t come easily, so you’ll have to be patient.

Crafting Orders are an incredible quality of life change in Dragonflight. Essentially, Crafting Orders provide players with the ability to either craft items for others, or have others craft items for them.
This is done through specific Crafting Order stations scattered all around Dragon Isles. These stations, similar to your regular Crafting Station, allow players to interact with others through a specific in-game interface. Something similar to an auction house, but slightly different.
There are Public and Personal Crafting Orders. Players can send a Crafting Order to you, in which case the order would be found in your Personal tab. Otherwise, you can order from others through the Public tab. Each crafter sets their own commission, so there’s no way to get scammed. Provided you have the materials, all you have to do is click on a desired commission and you’ll get your item.
The best WoW players will offer the highest quality crafts, so you’ll be able to spot them immediately.
The WoW best professions Dragonflight now require to be near a special Crafting Station in order to craft the highest quality gear. These, much like the Work Order stations, are found in every zone of Dragon Isles. However, the easiest ones to find are in Valdrakken. You’ll usually notice tons of players standing around and crafting.
This might be a bit inconvenient for veteran players who are used to conducting their business in the privacy of their Garrison or sitting atop their Brutosaur, but it’s honestly not a big deal. Just relocate all your crafting alts to Valdrakken and have them sit there all day.

There’s no set rule as to what profession is the best for each class. However, some classes will benefit more from certain professions, which will ultimately help them more in the long run. We’ll list some profession combos for each class in the list down below.
This combo is pretty simple. You’ll craft your own gear and Engineering gadgets and be fully self-sufficient. Additionally, you’ll be able to supply your other alts with high-end products. Perfect for a main character who you do end-game content on.
Paladins love haste, and Jewelcrafting gems are a great way to boost that specific stat. Since Paladins enjoy a hefty 20% riding speed bonus, they’ll also make great use of mining.
Death Knights, just like Warriors, are the perfect candidates for a Blacksmith. It is one of the best professions for this class. Mining is there to supplement your Blacksmithing, but you can always swap it around for a second crafting profession.
Druids have always been the best WoW class for gathering due to their instant flight form and the ability to pick herbs without dismounting. This has shifted in Dragonflight since we’re now gathering while mounted on our drakes, but Druid is still the go-to class for old content. With the amount of herbs you’ll be gathering, it’s really handy to have Inscription there to craft those rare cards and other useful consumables.

Tailoring/Enchanting is simply the best and easiest profession combo for any cloth caster in World of Warcraft. Not only can you easily craft gear for yourself or to sell, but you can disenchant the same gear to feed your Enchanting crafts. It’s a win-win either way.
Just like Mage, your Priest can pick up this same combo. You’ll require a ton of Knowledge Points in Dragonflight, so just make sure to take different specializations from your mage. That way you’ll have two strong characters that can supply one another with the same profession materials.
While we suggest Warlocks take Tailoring/Enchanting, we believe you could mix it up a bit and choose to max out cloth scavenging talents first. You’re a tanky class and can farm easily, so this seems like an obvious choice.
The new kings of gathering are here – Evokers! These guys have a racial ability that allows them to gather more than other classes can. That’s why the best professions in WoW are dual gathering ones for Evokers.
Rogues are one of the best PvP classes in the game, but they are squishy. Engineering toys and up-to-date gear from Leatherworking will help you cover that weak spot while leveling or when you’re outdoors.

Finally, we have the Shaman. They’re strong but do not really excel at farming, at least compared to the rest. Instead, they are your perfect alt that you log in daily to do your profession cooldowns. Alchemy is the perfect fit for them, and also for any other alt that you may have sitting around.
