Best PvP Class In WoW – What To Pick For Each Bracket
Something that makes World of Warcraft such a unique and exciting game is the fact that the game constantly changes and evolves. Other than that, picking the best PvP class in WoW is tricky due to the multiple brackets that PvP offers and the different roles to fill in those brackets.
We will cover all possibilities for 2v2, 3v3, and RBG. When it comes to world PvP, while we know there are some fans of this PvP type out there, at the end of the day, gear and the element of surprise are massive deciders of the outcome, so we will leave it out.

Best PvP Class In WoW For 3v3
The most popular game mode for PvP is 3v3, as it is the only one with a consistent esports scene. Many amazing classes can be played in 3v3, as most comps utilize a healer and double DPS. Regarding healers, pretty much anything can do the job as they are quite balanced, and each class that can queue as a healer can bring their tools to the fight.
However, Assassination Rogue is the best class for PvP in WoW regarding 3v3. This specialization is incredible because of the explosive damage they can bring to the fight. In lower ranks, an Assassination Rogue can easily dispatch their target, especially when combined with another bursty class like a Demon Hunter. To pull this combo off effectively, make sure to check out our Demon Hunter WoW guide.
In most cases, Rogue is paired with an Arcane Mage and a Shadow Priest, allowing them to have outstanding bursts on a single target and bring quite a lot of crowd control to the fight. While there are certain matchups that Assassination Rogue can lose, they are one of the most-dominant and most-wanted specs in 3v3, and it takes a lot of effort to deal with them and survive their damage and cc.
Even in higher ranks, Assassination Rogues are hard to deal with, perhaps even harder than in lower ranks, as the Rogue players tend to be more skilled, easily outmaneuver their opponents, and have an incredible tempo throughout the fight.
What Can You Gain From 3v3?
Since 3v3 is the most popular bracket, there are all kinds of rewards that you can get from it. For starters, because of its popularity, it is theoretically easier to reach certain ratings as more players are queuing up, which makes the bracket more balanced in terms of skill. This means you can reach the rating of 2400 more easily and obtain the best rewards from the weekly vault. Another thing you can get from reaching a high rating is the ultra-rare Gladiator mounts, which are certainly some of the best World of Warcraft mounts out there.
Best class for PvP In WoW For 2v2
While the Assassination Rogue is quite a dominant class in the 3v3 bracket, they are even more oppressive when it comes to 2v2. The reason behind that is that there are fewer people to do with the Assassination Rogue on the enemy team, and a good Assassination Rogue can easily mow down the enemy duo no matter what their comp is, especially if their skill is on a higher level. If you install some of the best WoW addons for arena to track your cooldowns, Assassination becomes unstoppable.

@ Blizzard
There are only two viable options when partnering up with the Assassination Rogue in the 2v2 bracket. The first option is to duo with a Disco (Discipline) Priest, as they are the type of healer who can contribute to the damage burst and quickly annihilate a single target from the enemy team.
Because of the Disco Priests burst that they bring to the 2v2 match with an Assassination Rogue, they could be considered an honorable mention for the best class for the bracket, as they often match the Rogue’s damage in shorter matches.
Of course, as we said, there is also another option that Assassination Rogue can team up with, and that is the Restoration Druid, another worthy contender that could be considered the best in the 2v2 bracket due to the number of classes and specializations they can pair up with and dominate the fight with.
Unlike the duo with the Disco Priest where matches rely on fast bursts and damage output, when the Assassination Rogue pairs up with the Restoration Druid, the matches are more about prolonged fights where they slowly burn down the enemy while the Druid keeps healing.
What Can You Gain From 2v2?
Even if many people like the 2v2 mode, it never caught on as the competitive mode because it tends to be difficult to balance. However, if you play classes incredibly powerful in the bracket, like the Assassination Rogue or Disco Priest, you can easily find a partner and obtain the 2400 rating rewards within a few days of grinding the queue. Unfortunately, if you are not playing a dominant class that we talked about, you might have a harder time at higher ratings.
Best PvP Class In WoW For Rated Battlegrounds (RBGs)
Rated Battlegrounds involve playing some Battlegrounds that are usually on a rotation, and because of that, you cannot always prepare the same strategy for the queue. Sometimes you are going to get a map where you have to capture the flag, like Warsong Gulch; sometimes, you will get a domination-type map, like Eye of the Storm; and sometimes, you will get a payload-type map, like Silvershard Mines, etc.
Because of that, it can be quite difficult to decide what class is the best for the RBG Bracket, but we have decided to give the top spot to the Havoc Demon Hunter due to the kit that they can bring to the table no matter what kind of map they end up in. Havoc DHs have the ability to move around the map rather quickly. They can do certain things with Glide that other classes cannot, and let us not forget about their double jump, which can sometimes be very effective for cheesing strats. Next to that, they can also bring damage and crowd control to the fights.
What Can You Gain From RBGS?
If you are looking for the fastest way to earn Honor for your weekly rewards, as well as the Vicious Saddle unlock, and want to play with more than a friend or two at the time, RBGs are certainly the bracket to go for. Each RBG can be a different experience, while the same cannot be said for 2v2 and 3v3 due to people playing the strongest comps only.

Best PvP Class For Solo Shuffle
With the new WoW expansion in order, Dragonflight, there is a new PvP mode where you can queue up all on your own, the Solo Shuffle. Many might not be surprised by the class that dominates this mode, as it happens to be the Arms Warrior. You will often find it as a lone S-tier pick on many tier lists, and that is because they can easily dominate the mode with their kit.
What Can You Gain From Solo Shuffle?
Unfortunately, you cannot gain a Gladiator mount, as that is restricted to the 3v3 bracket only, but you can unlock a special Crimson Legend title.
