Hardest WoW Achievements – Which Achievements Are Best To Flex With
World of Warcraft is one of the first games ever that implemented a fantastic achievement system that tracks pretty much anything you do in the game, which gives meaning to all of your activities. Of course, while this is incredible, this system allows achievements to have some insane requirements, ones that require not only a lot of skill but, more importantly, a lot of time and luck to complete. We are going to go over some of the hardest WoW achievements, in our opinion, and what it takes to unlock them.
Hardest WoW Achievements

10. What a Long, Strange Trip it’s Been
Many would probably say that this achievement should not be on the list because most of the achievements in this meta-achievement are quite easy to achieve. However, there is one thing that makes this achievement difficult, and that is that it requires you to play the game pretty much throughout the whole year, for whole year, as it requires you to complete all of the achievements related to holiday events. Those who are on the hunt for this one, check out the WoW Holiday Events schedule to avoid missing an event for one of the best WoW mounts.
9. 10,000 World Quests Completed
There is not much of an explanation for this one, as it is just a very grindy achievement. World Quests replaced the idea of daily quests when they were introduced in the Legion expansion, and the system is still used and loved today. It can take quite a long time to complete this achievement, even if you can complete World Quests from multiple expansions every day to speed things up.
8. Going To Need A Bigger Bag
This is one of those achievements that is easily forgotten, but it is definitely one of the most difficult ones out there. While it may seem easy at first, as you can purchase a lot of items that are required for the achievement from the Auction House, once you realize that you actually have to loot all the items required for the achievement yourself, you will realize how hard this is. The achievement requires you to obtain 56 rare items from the Timeless Isle, and this will not only take a long time but a lot of luck as well.
7. Loremaster
While this achievement is a walk in the park for most veteran World of Warcraft players, and they are probably shaming us for placing it on the list of the hardest WoW achievements, there is something important to consider – how long would this take if you start on a fresh account?
That is right; it would take an incredibly long time to finish this, as you are required to do pretty much all stories and quests in every single zone that World of Warcraft has to offer. All the way from Vanilla zones to the Dragonflight ones. That is thousands of quests to complete.

6. Hero of the Horde/Alliance
We were really thinking if we should put the Gladiator achievement or the “Hero of…”, and as you can see, the second was considered the harder option. Many would say that the Honor Level 500 is also difficult, but by the time you end up in the top 0.5 of the RBG Ladder to unlock this one, you will probably get both that one and the Gladiator one.
5. Khan
Another extremely grindy achievement that requires a lot of time investment is the Khan achievement, which is essentially a combination of multiple meta achievements that require you to do a bunch of PvP. For PvP lovers, this one is not that bad, but for those who like PVE content only, grinding this achievement is a nightmare.
4. 100 Exalted Reputations
There is probably no reason for us to explain why this achievement is difficult as getting a single WoW reputation to Exalted can take quite a long time, and some of them will require you to grind for weeks or months, and the less “good” options you have to get to 100, the harder the grind becomes.
3. Thanks for the Carry
Similar to the previous mention, getting an X number of things in WoW can be quite hard, and getting 500 different mounts is definitely difficult. Of course, this achievement will get easier as new expansions come out, but even then, it requires you to obtain many exalted reputations, participate in PvP and PvE events, and make a big-time investment.
2. Insane in the Membrane
Of course, one of the hardest achievements in the game is the one that is not even listed in the achievements tab, as it is a Feat of Strength achievement. While this achievement is not that difficult after the requirements were changed in Cataclysm, it is still very grindy as it requires the player to become Honored with Bloodsail Buccaneers and Exalted with Booty Bay / Everlook / Gadgetzan / Ratchet / Darkmoon Faire / Ravenholdt. Achieving this is very time-consuming and definitely one of the most tedious ones that will, without a doubt, make you go Insane in the Membrane by the time you complete it.

1. Warlord of Draenor
In the most frowned-upon expansion that WoW has introduced, Warlords of Draenor, players could build things in their Garrison. This achievement requires a Level 3 Gladiator’s Sanctum, which then requires you to complete all of the Nemesis Quests. Every Nemesis quest requires you to kill 500 players of a specific race, which does not sound that bad. However, there is a catch, and that is that you have to do it in Draenor and not anywhere else.
Considering that there are not only barely any players in those zones but yet alone players that are flagged for PvP, good luck getting this achievement.
