Top WoW PvP Players – Who To Watch And Learn From

There have been quite a lot of players in the history of World of Warcraft who have earned the right to be called the legends of the game. However, as the game evolves, so does the list of top players. While some of the players from the past are still dominating PvP, especially when it comes to official tournaments, there are also some new names that made our top WoW PvP players list.

Some of these players might be pretty recognizable if you regularly follow the WoW news and esports scene closely!

Top WoW PvP Players List

Since we are listing a lot of these players based on their recent official accomplishments. It can be quite difficult to rank them. So many of these players are allowed to shine due to the synergy with their partners in 3v3 arena games. Because of that, we are just going to list some of the top WoW PvP players in no particular order!

Crims

Crims is another member of the Mandatory team that’s recently become Global Champions. This player in particular is a bit of a fresher face though, having only been with the team since March 2023. In that time, he’s already clocked up tons of huge results. He’s already become one of the top WoW PvP players. He’s a bit of a more recent addition to the WoW esports world. This does mean he’s likely got some good years ahead of him to rack up even more big results. A great example is that even with WoW’s player count changing, there’s room for growth in competitive.

Moadmoad

Moadmoad is a Dutch player who is also part of the huge Mandatory squad. With this team, they won the MDI Global Finals 2024, but also came in 2nd in 2023. Those results two years in a row are really impressive.

That’s along with two of the other players picked out here. He’s a Healer which is an important role on the squad. There is more pressure on a Healer to perform well and support their team. Moadmoad has managed to do that in one of the biggest tournaments in WoW.

Maystine

In recent years, Maystine has become one of the best World of Warcraft players active. He’s a French player currently part of Mandatory. In recent events, they’ve had huge wins. Most recently, this team took first place at the MDI 2024 Global Finals. This is one of the bigger events and it marks Maystine out as a big name for this year. He’s a DPS player with more than $30,000 in winnings.

Brain

Brain is a phenomenal player, and one of the best WoW PvP competitors. He dominated the Arena 3v3 scene for a few years. He is currently playing for team Luminosity Gaming which competes in the North American circuit, and believe it or not, he is playing the role of healer.

Being the healer in 3v3 Arena is one of the most difficult things in WoW as you are constantly going to be under fire from the enemy DPS as they will probably want to take you out first. Of course, there are variations to this depending on the comps. Seeing Brain play and stay alive through some bursts or keeping his allies alive is very impressive.

Luminosity Gaming and Brain were the winners of the AWC 2023 NA Finals. He’s left his team since, but went out on a high.

Trill

@ Trill

Ryan Costello, better known as Trill, is someone who many will say that he is one of the best individual PvP World of Warcraft players out there. This man can play absolutely anything when it comes to PvP. He did so in all kinds of teams. Trill played for Method Orange and OTK Network. Today, he is playing for Team Liquid.

While his recent accomplishments in the AWC are usually second or third place. Including in a recent Season 3 Major. Many still admire what this guy can pull off, especially some of the things that you can see on his Twitch livestreams. Make sure to check out Trilltko for some fantastic gameplay, especially if you are into Rogue perfection.

Ceralium

Another member of Luminosity Gaming that deserves mention in this list is none other but Ceralium. While you might not see him streaming that often, when you see him perform in official tournaments, this guy knows how to do the damage in all the best ways.

CDew

@ Cdew (Blizzcon)

Shaman is his favorite class. He always talks smack about it. That, and Blizzard; you know who we are talking about. It is CDew. Chuck Dewland is one of the more known members of the WoW community on this list. He’s has been active for more than a decade in the competitive WoW PvP scene. He is streaming on Twitch quite often.

Right now, he is a member of Team Liquid. Along Trill, he is not only proficient in dominating Arena but PvE content as well. While CDew did not win any Arena World Championships yet, he has placed in top spots multiple times, with the best one being second in 2016.

Whaaz

@ Whaaz

While all of the previous entries from the North American AWC circuit, Whaaz, also known as Oscar Wulff, is our first European WoW player on the list. His PvP journey began all the way in 2015, and since 2016, he has been grabbing first and second place in almost all tournaments he participated in. When it comes to AWC, he is quite a beast, and he had 18 first places in his career, which is absolutely incredible.

He has played for a lot of teams during his career, such as Method Black, XSET Gaming, Method, Kungarna, and POGGERS, and he is currently in Echo Esports. His latest achievement is winning the AWC 2023 EU Finals with a score of 4:2, and you can often find him experimenting on his Twitch channel.

Mehhx

@ Mehhx

Another amazing member of Echo Esports who deserves the highlight on the list is none other but Mehhx, who started playing WoW all the way back in 2007 during The Burning Crusade expansion while he was 11 years old. While his PvP domination began on private serves playing Warlock only, he later expanded into multi-classing, playing priest, mage, and many other WoW PvP classes. If you check out his Liquipedia page today, all you are going to see are first places in his tournament history, which is quite impressive.

Asgarath

@ Asgarath

One of the winners of the Arena World Championship 2017, who probably needs no introduction and is expected to be found on this list, is Asgarath. This man from Norway has been competing for quite some time in the World Of Warcraft PvP part of the game. Even today, he is quite successful, as he got second place at the AWC 2023 EU Finals while playing for SK Gaming. Not many players can get such great results over such a long period of time.

Zeepeye

@ IQ.Wiki

One interesting case that we had to mention on our list is a player who actually managed to get himself suspended from pro play. Emil Ek, better known as Zeepeye, is a Swedish player who is currently playing for SK Gaming. However, before he participated in the AWC 2023 EU Finals and got second place, he was suspended in the previous year from February until October. While he did say he was quitting at the time, we are glad he is back. He is one hell of a player.

While we could go on with the list, there are simply too many great WoW players, and we are sure we missed out on some of your favorites. In the future, we will give this list an update, as WoW players always come and go when it comes to the PvP scene. These are the best WoW PvP players in 2024 though. Let’s see where the game goes from here.
