World of Warcraft MDI & AWC 2025 Sign-Ups Open Ahead of October 1 Kickoff

World of Warcraft’s Mythic Dungeons International and Arena World Championships (AWC) have opened for sign-ups ahead of the competition, which will get underway on October 1.

Players will compete in player-versus-player Arenas or attempt to get the best clears in the player-versus-environment focused War Within, Season 3 Mythic Dungeon rotation.

The recent Race to World First, eventually won by Team Liquid, proved yet again that ‘speed-running’ difficult PvE content can be as big a draw for spectators as PvP game modes.

The official Blizzard post provides comprehensive details on what these competitions consist of and how players can take part.

The competitions make a return on October 1 to celebrate the release of the Ghosts of K’aresh content update. Anyone can sign up on Raider.io from Europe and North America, as long as you have max item level characters.

AWC Offers $200,000 and Season 3 Astral Champion

In the AWC Gauntlet and Grand Final, players will not only be fighting for success and the Season 3 Astral Champion’s Prestigious Banner, but there’s also a hefty $200,000 prize pot up for grabs across the AWC Gauntlet and the Grand Final.

Four teams from each region will make it to the Grand Final, where they will face off against each other as they bid for glory.

Dungeon Shuffle and Modified Spec Variety Rule in Play

The beloved Mythic Dungeons International is also making an emphatic return, with players able to access tournament realms and earn the Season 3 Unbound Banner of the Algari.

Once the Time Trials are complete, 18 global teams will progress forward to the groups, where six teams will compete at once.

From there, daily eliminations continue until only eight teams remain. It’s not just Time Trials and Affixes that the teams will face, as there will be a shuffle of new dungeons and a modified spec variety rule, with teams competing for $30,000 per group.

The final is always intense and nail-biting, where the six best teams, plus two representatives from China, will face off against each other in the MDI Global Finals to win their share of the $300,000 prize pool and the title of MDI Global Champion.

At the moment, it’s uncertain which teams and guilds will be competing, but both the AWC and Mythic Dungeons International are bound to see the world’s elite compete.

The last MDI took place in May and concluded on June 1, with Wunderbar taking the win. There were some nail-biting moments across the tournament, and fans can expect more of the same this time around.
