How to 1v1 in VALORANT
Do you have an axe to grind with a player or friend, and you’re wondering how to 1v1 them in VALORANT? If yes then you’ve come to the right place.
Gone are the days of 1v1 Rust, now it’s 1v1 VALORANT, and we will show you how to beat your friend in a 1v1 in no time.
How to 1v1 a friend in VALORANT
If you’re looking for an official place in VALORANT to 1v1 a player, that sadly doesn’t exist. There is however a workaround that is easily implementable that will give you the best 1v1 experience in VALORANT. Here is how you can play your friend (or that random trashtalker) in VALORANT:
- Go to the ready-to-play menu in the client.
- Invite your friend to your party.
- Click on Custom Game in the right-hand corner.
- Select Deathmatch from the VALORANT game modes.
- Choose the map you want to play against your friend on.
- Additionally, select ‘Allow Cheats’ so you can stop the timer from running down. The game score will still continue after each kill regardless of whether the time is moving or not.
While this isn’t the best experience, as none of the VALORANT maps are relatively small when you’re looking for a two-person match, this is probably the best you are going to get for now if you wish to use whatever gun you want. Optionally, you can opt into a similar method if you wish to play on an even smaller map, the caveat to this is you don’t have unlimited access to the VALORANT weapons. Instead of choosing Deathmatch, select Team Deathmatch. You’ll just have to agree with the player you’re playing against to use the same guns.
As far as we know, Riot has yet to address the fans’ desire to have a 1v1 mode. It would certainly add another layer to the game, and allow players to find out who is the better player.
